Katy Perry ain’t no scrub…in fact, she’s kinda my HERO for this!
Don’t even get me started how sad i think it is nuts that TLC needs to have a Kickstarter campaign to make a new album, but I think it is. That being said, this new project is $5,000 closer to its fundraising goal thanks to Katy Perry.
According to TMZ, the singer is such a big fan that she shelled out 5 grand for the cause. And that’s not all- one of the perks for a $5k donation is a slumber party in L.A. with T-Boz, which I hope to god she goes to! How amazing would that slumber party be?
As of today, TLC is a little more than $44,000 shy of their $150,000 goal. Are you going to donate and/or listen to their new album?

Talk about some NEWS! New Kids On the Block have announced that they’re going on tour! But that’s not even the full story. You see, Nelly and TLC will be joining them!
Yeah, I KNOW.
Donnie Wahlberg made a statement, saying:
“Our fans keep asking us to come back out on the road, and we want to keep giving them what they want. We wanted to make sure it was something new and fresh and fun and totally worthwhile for all of our supporters year after year. This year, we are making it ‘The Main Event.’ And we promise, it will be the ticket of the summer.”
Donnie and the boys announced the news on Good Morning America, when they were joined by TLC’s Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas and Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins.
The Main Event tour will begin in Vegas on May 1st of this year and closing things out in Buffalo, NY mid July. The tickets go on sale January 31st, so get yours quick because if humanity is anything like me, it WILL sell out.
Are you going to go?!

Mama June Shannon is certainly biting the hand that feeds her now that she is dating a convicted child molester. Her show “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” is airing on TLC currently, but they will likely pull the show when they find out the facts. TMZ reports:
The new guy is 53-year-old Mark McDaniel. He was convicted in 2004 for aggravated child molestation. Prosecutors say he molested an 8-year-old child — forcing oral sex. June was dating McDaniel at the same time he molested the child.
We will not identify the child but it’s someone with whom June has contact.
Mark did ten years in the pokey for his crimes and is now a free man, but she has certainly thrown the future of their show in jeopardy by sneaking out of production to go out with him.
Apparently someone told her that dating someone else might prove to be good for ratings, but no one told her not to date someone who touched little kids. Not only is it just inherently bad, but it’s also bad for your career as a reality star. She’ll learn her lesson when the paychecks dry up….

I am getting so disgusted with the state of TV these days. I was flipping through the channels the other day, and found a show about a company that makes fish tanks. FISH TANKS!? What the hell is interesting about that!? There is seriously no rock left unturned anymore, no story untold. There will soon be a show about my life…stay tuned.
The network is set to unveil Obese & Expecting, about four moms-to-be who are morbidly overweight.
The project will chronicle their health crises, weight gain and relationship struggles as they strive to deliver healthy babies.
According to the upcoming announcement, “These women are challenging the perception — and the odds — of obese pregnancies, as they become moms, no matter their size or complications.”
The network will launch Obese & Expecting as a one-hour special and potential backdoor series pilot next month. Many TLC shows (such as the hit Extreme Couponing) first launch as stand-alone specials, then the network gauges audience reaction and decides whether to order a full season. We wouldn’t be surprised if this concept, at the very least, received a fair amount of pre-launch publicity (the show’s original working title, by the way, was the MTV-inspired My Supersize Pregnancy, though we would have gone with, say, 600 & Pregnant).
Will you watch? C’mon, you can be honest.
