In March, Dennis Quaid’s third wife, Kimberly Buffington filed for divorce. She cited “the discord or conflict of personalities” as the reason for their split, and had already made arrangements for joint custody of their children. Rumor has it that Dennis was a drunk – and had a bad temper.

Looks like she’s had a change of heart, because she’s withdrawn her divorce petition!

It looks like Kimberly Buffington-Quaid is not yet ready to quit her husband — at least not officially.

TMZ learned Friday that Buffington-Quaid withdrew her divorce papers, which she filed in early March, from her husband of seven years Dennis Quaid. The site speculates that her 180 has to do with complications in dividing the couple’s assets.

In the original divorce petition, the actor’s wife of seven years asked for spousal support and for their community assets to be fairly divided. The document also cited that while Buffington-Quaid would temporarily hold onto the family’s residence in Malibu and the Mercedes, the 57-year-old actor would get the Cadillac Escaladeand a condo — but they would share the family Range Rover.

The couple shares twins Thomas and Zoe, who almost died as newborns in 2007 when the medical staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical center accidentally gave them a huge overdose of the drug Heparin. After filing a lawsuit with the hospital and the drug manufacturer, the couple was awarded $750,000.

Buffington-Quaid is the actor’s third marriage. He and Meg Ryan divorced in 2001 and share 19-year-old son Jack, who stars in The Hunger Games; he and actress PJ Soles divorced in 1983 after five years together.

Wonder if they really worked it out, or if she’s in it for money (like several sites are suggesting). They were in the middle of a nasty dispute over money, and it wasn’t clear whether or not Kimberly would have gotten much of anything. Good prenup perhaps?

I hope they DID work it out, and she’s in it for the right reasons. For the sake of their kids!

According to TMZ, Dennis Quaid’s wife, Kimberly Buffington-Quaid, has filed for divorce.

Kimberly stated in the divorce petition, “The marriage has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities… that destroys the legitimate ends of the marriage relationship and prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation.”

Kimberly wants spousal support and that their community assets be divided. Quaid has responded to his wife’s petition by saying he doesn’t want to provide these things.

A temporary custody agreement is in place, saying both Kimberly and Dennis will get to spend time with their 4-year-old twins, Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace.

Buffington-Quaid will also get possession of their main residence and a Mercedes. Quaid gets the condo and a Cadillac Escalade. As far as the couple’s other vehicle is concerned, the temporary order states, “The parties shall cooperate with one another in using the Range Rover.”

The couple married in 2004. Their twins almost died as newborns in 2007 when the medical staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center accidentally gave them a massive overdose of the drug Heparin.

This is the actor’s third marriage. He divorced Meg Ryan in 2001, and actress P.J. Soles in 1983.

I think he and Meg should get back together. Just sayin.

Wow! Meg Ryan’s son has grown up!

Jack Henry, who will turn 19 next month, is her son with Dennis Quaid, whom she was married to for nine years.

Trivia: When I was looking up how old Jack is, I found out that Meg’s name is actually Margaret Mary Emily Anne Hyra. That’s quite a name!

After being married to John Mellencamp for 18 years, Elaine Irwin is breaking her silence about their breakup. The 41-year-old Almay model is taking the split very, very well!

According to Rob Shuter with Pop Eater, Meg Ryan is quite happy being back in the spotlight, and she doesn’t care how she got there. Why am I surprised?

Apparently Meg, who hasn’t had a major movie release since ‘The Women’ two years ago, is loving the attention she’s getting now that she’s hooked up with John Mellencamp. John was married for 18 years, and then Meg came along. I’m not saying it’s Meg’s fault – it just certainly doesn’t look good for either of them. Cheating looks good on no one.

The 49-year-old beauty is fully aware how the world of celebrity has changed since she was burning up the box office in landmark hits like ‘Sleepless in Seattle’ and ‘You’ve Got Mail.’

“Now folks are much more interested in your private life than if you have a hit movie,” the insider says. “Look at Kate Gosselin or Kim Kardashian. They are always on magazine covers talking about their love life.”
