Jennifer Love Hewitt is setting the record straight after tweeting that she had a crush on Ben Flajnik from The Bachelorette, claiming that she met up with him in San Francisco. She now tells Ryan Seacrest for 102.7 KISS FM that people blew the whole thing out of proportion, and that it was meant to be a joke.

“I sent out funny tweets about Ben F. then it got all sort of blown out of proportion. Now it’s like the rumor mill is crazy. I have nothing to say except I‘m totally single.”

When Ellen asked her if she ever made out with Ben at any time in her life, Jennifer coyly answered: “Rumors are rumors,” but she didn’t flatly deny the hookup.

“We did meet, but totally by coincidence,” she said about their recent time spent together in San Francisco.  She told Ryan they just happened to be in the same place at the same time.

“I don’t know why people are making such a big deal!” JLo Hewitt exclaimed. “I was looking for something pop culture to tweet about. I’m new to the Twitter situation and I watned to have fun with the twitters out there.

“Everybody has taken this and it is all blown out of proportion.”

She was asked if she would now be the new Bachelorette now that she’s single, but she said no because they haven’t asked her. I could totally see it.

This is no joke. Jennifer Love Hewitt tells Ellen Degeneres that she has not one – but THREE wedding rings on hold at Tiffany’s for if – and when boyfriend Alex Beh proposes. Doesn’t that sound sad? Poor Alex, can you imagine the pressure? It’s no wonder Jen never makes it down the aisle! I can’t imagine any man not being scared by the fact that she already has her own engagement rings on hold. SCARY!

When Ellen asked Jennifer about having her engagement ring picked out, she answered, “I actually have three because I feel like I’m doing the guy a favor. I feel women are very confusing. We never know what we want and we’re not very good at nailing that down for them. And I feel like I don’t want to be upset if he picks a bad ring, so I feel like having three picked out and saying, “Look! Look at this plethora of things you can chose from!”

What happens if boyfriend Alex does bring up marriage? “I’m like, “You know what’s so weird. There is this store and there are three rings in it. And if you chose one of these three, I’m going to be really excited. And if you go off on your own, we can have an awful, awkward moment. So why would you want to do that?”

Alex and Jennifer have been dating for seven months. She recently brought him as her date to the Golden Globes. “He’s never been to anything like that. He’s from Chicago.”
