Jamie Lynn Spears is 21 already? What?! My kids were just watching her on Zoe 101 like yesterday, weren’t they?  Jamie Lynn reflects on her teen pregnancy and talks about her upcoming album in Glamour Magazine’s March issue.

On her early pregnancy…
“It was 2007. I had been on a Nickelodeon show, Zoey 101, and after we wrapped shooting, I just wanted to go home to Louisiana and finish high school, be a cheerleader, all that. Then I found out I was pregnant [by then-boyfriend Casey Aldridge]. I was 16. I’d had one boyfriend. It doesn’t make it perfect or all right. But I was judged for something that probably most everyone does. I was young. I was in love. I was like every other teenager, except I had this last name. And I made a decision that is forever my decision.”

On why she wasn’t using birth control…
“I believe in safety and birth control as prevention. But like many young girls…I was really scared to go to the doctor. And I was on a Nickelodeon show, and it [felt] especially embarrassing to ask someone to put me on birth control. I didn’t want to ask my doctor, because she had a little girl.”

On how she felt towards her fans and the media…
“I did feel responsible for the young girls and the mothers who I probably confused and let down. I apologize for that. But I wasn’t trying to glamorize teen pregnancy. I hated when [the tabloids] said that. Everybody is dealt a hand of cards. It was my choice to play them the way I played them. But the hateful comments hurt.”

On her past relationship with Casey Aldridge…
“There’s a slim chance of two young people making it through high school and all that drama, but making it as parents? We tried. We really wanted to do it right. We loved each other. I will love him as Maddie’s father until the day I die.”

On performing again…
“On the performance end, I take a lot of advice from my sister. But I expect the scrutiny. The last time anyone heard anything of me, I was 16 and pregnant. All I can do is be my best – there will always be people who will never like me.”

On her special relationship with Britney...
“[As for Britney], she’s in such a good place right now. She’s in love. She has her kids. So I’m happy for her. Of course [our bond as mothers], it’s such a big thing, you know? Especially ‘cause there’s an age gap there – she’s 10 years older. I think if I were just a normal 20-year-old, I wouldn’t be able to relate as much to her.”

On re-joining the music industry…
“I was a kid who did a kid show. Then I went away and raised my child, and the world has never met me as an adult. This is the first time anybody is really meeting me as a grown woman and grown mother making a decision about what to do with my life. Do people have an idea of who they think I am? Yes, and that’s fine with me. My music will speak for itself.”

The “Zoey 101″ actress celebrated her seventeenth birthday yesterday, April 4th and she has a lot to be thankful for. Baby daddy/fiance Casey Aldridge who is renting his parents old house with a friend has had Jamie Lynn staying with him for the past week, giving themselves a chance to practice living together… Aldridge comes home at 5.30pm, after a long day on the jobsite and heads out with his bride-to-be around 7pm. The couple makes a quick stop at Jamie Lynn’s relatives and then goes for some birthday shopping at “Wal-Mart” where they pick out a new bed for Jamie Lynn’s puppy. After the extravagant shopping spree the two grab dinner at “Ruby’s.” This may not be the typical birthday celebration for someone rich and famous, (stripping in a glass of champagne comes to mind) and it’s frankly amazingly refreshing with some wholesome modesty. Hollywood’s got to try much harder to squeeze the ‘country’ out of this girl!

After a long day of construction work, Casey Aldridge met with future wife/baby’s mother to help her celebrate the night before her 17th birthday. Casey was clad in his dirty work boots and Jamie Lynn in a fluorescent green sweatshirt covering her growing baby bump. The junior-sized parents-to-be kept things quiet and casual with a trip to the local JC Penney and a sporting goods store before a quick stop at a convenience store and then back home.

Pregnant teenager Jamie Lynn Spears has a diamond ring on her finger, but there are still obstacles to overcome before she and Casey Aldridge, 18, can be married. Her mother, Lynne Spears, has insisted that the couple sign a prenuptial contract to protect the Zoey 101 star’s assets. “The contract is already drawn up and ready to go,” an insider confirms to In Touch. “Lynne’s not sure marriage is a good idea, but she’ll go along with that if that’s what Jamie Lynn wants — as long as Casey signs the contract.” A Spears family confidant says that Lynne, who flew home to Kentwood, La., to celebrate Jamie Lynn’s April 4 birthday, is worried about Casey. “He doesn’t seem as committed to the relationship as Jamie Lynn,” says the confidant, adding that the family is aware of the rumors that he’s cheated. “Lynne is keeping an eye on him.”

Miley Cyrus has admitted that she cried after finding out good friend Jamie Lynn Spears was pregnant.

The two teen sensations are good friends having both worked on their respected shows Hannah Montana and Zoey 101.

However, the younger sister of Britney Spears had her program canceled due to the pregnancy scandal.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Miley reveals: “When I first heard she was pregnant, I started crying. I was heartbroken to tell you the truth because she’s my friend and I didn’t want her life to change.

“But now she’s actually getting really excited and even though it’s a difficult situation, I’m happy for her now because she’s happy that she made the choices she did.”

The 15-year old also claims that she won’t be following in the same footsteps at Jamie Lynn’s troubled older sister Britney.

“Well, I’m aware that things can happen,” she says. “But I keep my friends and family superclose and that really helps.”
