Arnold Schwarzenegger has something to say…and he’s going to say it while he’s promoting his new movie (ugh)!
Apparently his love is still strong for his estranged wife Maria Shriver, who left him after Schwarzenegger admitted to being the dad of his housekeeper’s son. Nice move, right?
Of course, if he had something to say to Maria, you’d think he’d call her up. Instead, Ahhnold decided to say some intimate words during a press conference in Germany for his latest movie, The Last Stand! Yeah, keep the class coming, Arnold. Said the action star:
“We’re not fighting any war. I still hope for reconciliation. I still love Maria.”
The question he was answering was about how he was going to spend Christmas…not about the deep emotional disaster zone that is his marriage (and what he did to it)! The real question is will the two ever reconcile? I’m super proud Maria’s not getting back with Arnold, but I hope she’s at peace with what he’s done.
Stay strong, Maria! What your ex did to you is…pretty unforgivable. Right?

In an interview with 60 Minutes’ Lesley Stahl, Arnold Schwarzenegger refuses to address or say that he “betrayed” his ex-wife Maria Shriver.
Said Stahl: “She gave up her television career for you. I mean, wow, was this the most unbelievable act of betrayal to Maria?”Arnold
would not acknowledge Stahl’s question. Instead, he talks about how stupid he was, and how much he hurt his family. “I think it was the stupidest thing I’ve done in the whole relationship. It was terrible I inflicted tremendous pain on Maria and unbelievable pain on the kids.”
The worst thing is, Arnold has not even shown the book to Maria. When Stahl asked if she knew what was in the book, all Schwarzenegger would say was, “She knows that it’s about my whole life.”
Ugh, deflect, deflect, deflect. What Schwarzenegger did to his wife and family is despicable…why can’t he just admit it, apologize and work through things? I feel like people who won’t acknowledge their wrongdoings are the worse kind of egomaniacs and destined to learn nothing from their mistakes.
