Shakira may be the only female judge on NBC’s The Voice, but she is ready to take on the challenge!

She will be set to judge with fellow singers Adam Levine, 34, Blake Shelton, 36, and new judge Usher, 34

“Never underestimate a 5-foot-3 Colombian girl!” the new mom explains in a first look preview of The Voice, premiering Monday, March 25.

“They complain that I play the lady card, but it’s not a gimmick — I am a lady!” admits the Colombian-born singer-songwriter, 36, in the above preview clip, filmed when she was still pregnant with son Milan. “I’m not getting any advice from those guys!”

Christina Milian, The Voice’s social media correspondent, tells Us Weekly Shakira sure holds her own when it comes to choosing her team for the season. “Shakira is really awesome at campaigning — she’s smart and intelligent and gives great advice,” Milian hinted at the March 19 “Skirts Only” fashion show in New York City.

The Voice host Carson Daly is equally as smitten with the new girl on the block. “I think your spring girl crush is Shakira — a lot of people don’t know a lot about her and how good she is,” raves Daly, who has hosted the series since its 2011 premiere. “I think America is really going to fall in love with her when the show is on the air.”

I love Shakira! I haven’t even started watching yet, but I will be rooting for her team. The Voice premieres on NBC tonight.

Adam Levine and Keira Knightley were spotted filming their new movie ‘Can a Song Save Your Life?’, on Friday in NYC’s West Village.

Keira, 27, plays a woman who moves with her boyfriend (Levine) to New York to pursue their music careers. Levine dumps her for a solo career, and shortly after she is discovered singing at a local bar by a “down-on-his-luck” record producer (Mark Ruffalo).

Wonder if Adam (Maroon 5) will be any good? Also curious if he has much more than just a cameo in the film. We’ll see! I think casting Mark Ruffalo and Keira Knightley as love interests (just guessing here) makes sense. I bet they’d have great chemistry!

Adam Levine JUST split with Victoria’s Secret model Anne Vyalitsyna only two months ago, but it seems as though he’s moving on…with a friend of his ex!

The friend, Behati Prinsloo (pictured here joking around with the paparazzi) , joined forces with Anne to lip-sync the words to Levine’s hit “Moves Like Jagger” to advertise for Levine’s show, The Voice.  The 23-year-old Namibian beauty has modelled for the likes of Chanel, Hugo Boss, Tommy Hilfiger, Kurt Geiger and more, and has been friends with Anne for years because of their mutual modeling successes. 

Prinsloo was spotted in serious lip lockage with Levine during a Hawaiian vacation.  I’m guessing Behati might not be so chummy with Anne V anymore, after this weekend!

Adam Levine has had, according to an interview in Details Magazine, quite the reputation as a ladykiller.

Still, Levine wants to dispel this myth as being a “bimbo,” or perhaps, “one-dimensional” through his work on The Voice and in general, toning down his playboy image.  In the Details interview, Adam is called “a good dude with superhero powers,” and tries hard to portray himself within the interview as reformed.

On his reputation: “I’ve always felt a little misrepresented in the world…I felt like people only knew me as a singer who dated pretty girls. A little bit of a bimbo. Maybe I was kind of a bimbo…I was the music dude that was naked all the time with the girls, and that’s fine, no problem with that. (But) I wanted to create a little balance. When the show came around, I thought, ‘People now know that I have a brain…”

On The Voice: “The Voice is built on positivity. Once we started filming, I knew that America was really going to love it.”
