Kate Beckinsale and Victoria Beckham are playing matchmakers - they want to set their nine-year-old children up.

Beckinsale is not keen on her daughter Lily, nine, experimenting with boys when she is older - but wouldn’t mind if she dated Beckham’s eldest son Brooklyn.

She says, “I am dreading the day Lily brings home a boy. But she and the Beckham boys get on really well. So if she did have to have a boyfriend, then I suppose Brooklyn would get my seal of approval.”

Victoria Beckham has won an Entrepreneur of the Year award for her fashion empire, but what she really wants is recognition from the Council of Fashion Designers of America.

The 34-year-old, who launched dvb Denim last year, tells OK! at the CFDA Awards that it would be simply “amazing” if she were to be honored in the future.

“God, I mean, I don’t know. That would be amazing,” she says. “I’ve got a long, long way to go. I’m working very, very hard. dvb, my clothing line, has been tremendously successful, but I’m just starting really. I’ve got a long way to go. I’m working hard.”

She already has the vote of Marc Jacobs, her escort and designer of her dress for the evening.

“Who could compare to Victoria Beckham?” the designer exclaims to OK!. “I mean, there is no one else.”

And Posh only had equally nice things to say about her date, who was the mastermind behind her ruffled black frock as well.

“What Marc does, he does beautifully,” she says. “To wear his dress is a huge honor. I love this dress. I think it’s fun, it’s great for me being here with Marc is a huge honor. It’s very, very exciting for me.”

Soccer star David Beckham has treated his wife Victoria to a vineyard - so she can make her own fine wine.

The L.A. Galaxy star reportedly paid a seven-figure sum for the Californian yard as a birthday present for former Spice Girl, who turned 34 last month.

According to British newspaper The Sun, the 33-year-old sports superstar has recruited a team to help them run the vinery.

A source tells the publication, “The Beckhams became wine buffs when he played in Spain. The vineyard went down a storm with Victoria. She was delighted.”

Victoria Beckham is auctioning off her glittering collection of outfits from the Spice Girls world tour in a bid to raise $2 million for charity.

The style icon is putting all six of her Roberto Cavalli-designed costumes from the band’s comeback tour earlier this year to raise funds for a children’s charity, which is managed by her mum Jackie Adams.

The items being sold include a minidress covered in Swarovski crystals, thought to be worth $500,000, and the infamous gold corset and leggings the star wore, which are going under the hammer for $60,000.

A spokesman for Beckham says, “Victoria is putting together various ideas for the sale. She would consider offers from individuals - for the right price. It’s time for any high-rollers out there to get their cheque books out.”

The details of the charity auction have not been announced, but the former Spice Girl has reportedly flown the items to a safe storage facility in the U.K., according to Britain’s OK! magazine.

Victoria Beckham has chastised critics who have accused her of only forging a close friendship with Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes to further her acting career.

The former Spice Girl became firm friends with the Cruise family when she and her soccer ace husband David moved to Los Angeles in July 2007.

Since the Hollywood move, the Wannabe hitmaker has made a transition to the small screen, making a number of guest appearances - most notably on hit comedy Ugly Betty.

But Beckham insists she is not interested in a Hollywood acting career because she is well aware of her lack of skills in front of the camera - and has snubbed several film roles as a result.

She says, “I’m happy doing what I’m doing right now. I’m a terrible actress. Everyone thinks I’m only friends with Tom and Katie to be in a movie but it’s not true. I’ve turned down lots of roles.”
