Olympic ice-skating champ Dorothy Hamill is undergoing treatment for breast cancer at Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center in Baltimore, Md.
A rep for Hamill, 51, calls her prognosis very favorable, but says the treatments will require the Olympic gold-medal winner to take time off from headlining the Broadway on Ice national tour, Access Hollywood reports.
Hamill hopes to rejoin the tour on Jan. 16 in Ft. Lauderdale.

It was an up-and-down 2007 for Marie Osmond, who says her children kept her strong through the drama.
“I have great kids. I love my kids, you know that, and it’s OK,” Osmond, 48, tells Extra. “It’s OK to be alone, and it’s OK to be busy. It’s a choice you make to be positive with what comes at you in life.”
While dancing into third place on Dancing with the Stars, Osmond, who has eight children, had a rough year with her family.
Father George, 90, died in November, her 20-year marriage to record producer Brian Blosil dissolved in March, and her teenage son Michael checked into rehab. Plus, Osmond herself fainted on live national TV.
And while Osmond is mulling a DWTS tour with dancing partner Jonathan Roberts and a possible talk show, she is enjoying time with her children.
“I’d love to sing opera, I love theater,” Osmond says. “But truly, when you get to a certain place in your life, the joy comes watching your kids.”

Toby Keith and his family were awarded $2.8 million in damages in the wrongful death lawsuit they filed, involving his late father, H. K. Covel.
According to the Associated Press, a jury returned the verdict against the operators of Rodriguez Transportes of Tulsa and the Republic Western Insurance Co., finding that Covel would not have died if the company’s bus had been equipped with properly working air brakes.
According to evidence presented at the wrongful-death trial, the charter bus that slammed into Covel’s vehicle on I-35 was “in urgent need” of brake repairs before Covel was killed. The Rodriguezes reportedly had been advised of the brake problem before Covel’s truck crossed the center divide and collided with the bus.
The verdict was returned last week. “The jury found no fault on the part of Mr. Covel in the wreck that claimed his life,” the family’s attorney said.

Lynne Spears’s book about raising her famous daughters Britney and Jamie Lynn has been put on hold, the publisher confirms to People.
“The book is delayed indefinitely. It’s delayed, not cancelled,” says a spokeswoman for Thomas Nelson, which publishes inspirational books and Bibles.
It had been scheduled for a spring 2008 release and was put on hold last week, says the rep. On Tuesday, news hit that 16-year-old Jamie Lynn is pregnant with her boyfriend’s child.
Publishers’ Weekly described the book as “Lynne Spears’ personal story of raising high-profile children while coming from a low-profile Louisiana community.”
The publisher declined to comment on whether the focus of the book would change in light of the pregnancy announcement.
“We are standing behind Lynn at this time and understand that she needs time with her family – we support that,” says the spokeswoman.
We didn’t see this one coming, now did we?!??

Paz Vega arrived at the premiere of The Bucket List and she reminds me of Salma Hayek for some reason. She’s got that natural beauty, don’t you think?

David Blue, the actor who plays the boyfriend of Michael Urie’s character on “Ugly Betty,” was mugged after leaving a party for the show in Hollywood:
He writes this on his myspace page:
I went to a wonderful wrap party for season 2 of UGLY BETTY tonight. It was a blast, full of cast, crew, producers, writers, etc. I had a lot of fun with America, Michael and a bunch of other nice people. In fact, even after working on the show for so long, I had somehow never gotten pictures of myself with any of the people I’ve worked with. So, tonight I took a lot of pictures and had a great time.
Then, walking back to my friends’ car, about a block away from the party, two men jumped out of their car and held a gun to my face and stole my wallet and my friends’ purse/camera/phone. They drove away and I’ve spent the past 2 hours talking with the police and my credit card companies.
There’s a sad part of me that is just happy that I got away alive and that my friend wasn’t hurt. There’s another sad part of me that is happy they got me and not America Ferrera, Michael Urie, Judith Light or anybody else at the party with WAY more money than myself. There’s another sad part of me that is so angry that I just want to see these people put behind bars as soon as possible. You see, though I’ve been lucky to recur on two different shows, I’m still far from financially stable. Hopefully, I was able to catch my credit cards before they got anything. [In fact, all my companies say they tried to spend some money on ALL of them in the past 20 minutes at a single gas station but were denied because I cancelled them so fast.] But now I have no money for food, supplies or anything for a week. It’s sad how quickly your life can be affected… and even more sad how angry a few people’s SAD choices can affect people’s lives so morosely.
It bothers me that this was Hollywood. I’ve lived in New York, Astoria, Queens, Florida, Kentucky, Virginia, Texas, all over… and this crap happened in the heart of Hollywood near a MAJOR intersection. I’m just glad we were smart enough to hand over our money so quickly. Because I can tell you, even with a gun in my face, my first reaction was to nail this guy in the face with as many punches as I could muster… but instead I looked at my female friend and realized it’d be better to hand over my wallet and call the police.
Be careful kids. And let’s hope these guys get caught before they do too much damage. The police told us that this has happened a few times in the past few weeks. And on top of that, as we were in their car, we heard a radio call saying another mugging happened with the same description…about 30 minutes after ours.
Poor guy, someone should set something up to donate to him for this rough time.
