Uma Thurman has no regrets about pressing charges against her stalker in a high-profile court case – because she was determined to do whatever it took to protect her family.
Jack Jordan, 37, was ordered to keep his distance from the Hollywood star for five years after he was found guilty of fourth-degree stalking and one count of second degree aggravated harassment by a jury in May.
During the week-long dramatic trial at New York’s Manhattan Supreme Court, Thurman and her parents testified, revealing how Jordan had bombarded them with notes and letters, and threatened to kill himself following his 2005 outside Thurman’s New York home.
And though Thurman is now reluctant to “give any more energy to that (the trial),” she insists she has no misgivings about pursuing the marathon of court proceedings.
She adds: “If anyone is forced to call 911 and as a result, something becomes a police matter, you can’t abandon the process: You need to cooperate and allow the police to do what they need to do. I wasn’t being courageous. It was a situation I needed to see through in order to protect my family.”

Now that she’s engaged to Swiss multimillionaire Arpad “Arki” Busson, Uma Thurman says she’s open to the possibility of having more children.
“I can safely say I don’t know,” the actress, 38, tells InStyle for its September issue. “If it’s meant to happen, it will. I love and adore being a mother.”
Thurman says parenting her two children (with ex-husband Ethan Hawke), Maya, 10, and Levon, 6, is “the greatest gift I’ve ever been given.”
The actress – who announced her engagement in June – adds: “I understand that raising children is universally difficult and that people read an article hoping for something worthwhile in it. The truth is, I am not on some inside track. I have no incredible revelations to share.”
As for what she looks for in a man, Thurman says, “Confidence, intelligence and goodness. There’s nothing sexier than that combination.”
And while no wedding date has been set, Thurman confirms that she likes to be married. “I crave structure,” she says. “I’ve never had good habits or a formula for how to shape a day, a month, a life, I appreciate anything that makes me focus.”

Uma Thurman has denied reports she has wed her businessman boyfriend Arpad Busson in a secret ceremony, after reports surfaced the couple’s engagement party was a guise for their nuptials.
The Kill Bill star threw her first of two lavish parties on the grounds of Busson’s Kensington, London home last month, upon announcing she was set to marry the Swiss businessman.
And the actress insisted on sharing the news in her native America by arranging a second bash at her Manhattan apartment earlier this month – an event alleged to have been a secret wedding celebration for the couple.
According to the New York Post, Thurman – who sparked pregnancy rumours when she was snapped with a protruding stomach while on vacation in Europe last week – is allegedly enjoying her Honeymoon on the trip with Busson.
But a spokesperson for Thurman denies the star has wed.

Uma Thurman was ugly as a youngster – and admits she was so tall she saw herself as a “mess”.
The Kill Bill star reveals she didn’t feel attractive when she was a teenager – but is pleased because it meant that she blossomed in to being “all right” as an adult.
She says, “I didn’t feel awkward, I was awkward. It’s such a cliche, but it’s a truism that tall, gangly women who end up all right later in life are always ugly children. I was funny-looking. I mean, look at my hands. Imagine having these hands at 12! By the time I was 13, I was easily 5 foot 10 inches. Can you imagine? That’s a mess.”

Uma Thurman is learning never say never – at least when it comes to wedding vows.
After her two divorces from actors Gary Oldman and Ethan Hawke, the Kill Bill star swore she’d never marry again. But now, in her first interview since her engagement to Swiss multimillionaire Arpad “Arki” Busson was announced, Thurman tells the U.K.’s Sunday Times Style magazine that she’s happy to go back on her word.
“I’m going to have to retract my statement of never,” she says. “I’ll have to eat my words – what a surprise.”
Thurman, who says “personally, things are wonderful,” also showed off her stunning engagement ring (which is reported to be an 8-plus carat center diamond surrounded by 20 smaller stones). It’s so big, the article says, he hand can “barely get through the sleeve of her coat.”
With her personal life going well, the 38-year-old actress also says she’s happy to “look my age.”
“Being in my late thirties is fine with me. Maybe when 40 hits, the penny will drop and you just hate life. But so far, so good.”
