File this one under: little known facts. According to Madonna, she dated rapper Tupac Shakur!
During her interview with Howard Stern, Madonna made the revelation after discussing an appearance on The Late Show With David Letterman.
The 56-year-old singer made the revelation on the Howard Stern Show Wednesday. The radio host asked about her feelings toward David Letterman because he thought she seemed “annoyed” during her “Late Show” appearances. She said “that’s how I flirt with people,” but then admitted there was one time when she wasn’t thrilled with the late night host.
“Well, one time I was mad at him, when I said the F-word a lot, but the rest of the time was good,” she said. “You know what? I was in a weird mood that day. I was dating Tupac Shakur at the time and the thing is he got me all riled up about life in general. So, when I went on the show I was feeling very gangster.”
Stern and co-host Robin Quivers were shocked to hear about the romance, and Stern asked if it had ever been public knowledge before.
“I think people know if you’re in-the-know,” Madonna responded.
The late rapper once discussed how the “Living for Love” singer was supposedly going to visit him during his incarceration at the Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, New York.
“Madonna is real nice,” he said. “She’s a good person. She helped me a lot. She was real cool. Like any one of my homeboys. One time, they had a story on the local news out there that Madonna was coming to visit me. Madonna has so much power that the guards let me take an extra shower because they thought she was coming to visit me.”

FINALLY, a Tupac Shakur biopic is in the works…and I’m sure for his fans, it’s not soon enough!
Set to shoot in June, the ntitled movie about the rap legend has most recently secured the rights to the musician’s catalog, Collider confirmed with the project’s producer Randal Emmett.
And who better to direct than the legendary John Singleton, who directed Shakur and a young Janet Jackson in 1993’s Poetic Justice. Also on board with the project to ensure the integrity of the story? Shakur’s mother, Afeni, who will be executive-produce, according to the site.
“The script is great, and we’re ready to make the movie,” Emmett said. “We’re just prepping the logistics.”
Oh man, I hope this is gooood! Are you excited to see it?

If you’ve heard anything about Coachella this year, you’ve heard that Tupac Shakur performed alongside Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg on Sunday evening. As expected, video of the performance became an instant sensation.
Of course, it wasn’t the real Tupac, but a hologram. The hologram was created by Digital Domain Media Group Inc., the same guys who were behind special effects for 2008’s “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.” Though the rapper died more than 15 years ago, new technologies have created a world of possibilities for bringing the deceased star to the masses.
The image of Tupac isn’t archival footage, or digital imaging. According to The Wall Street Journal, “the image was created on a computer, using physical characteristics and movements captured from recorded performances.” So, kind of a little of both, but neither. The Coachella performance had been in the works fro about four months prior, and Dr. Dre is said to have a vision for tours featuring the hologram. This is just the beginning,” Digital Domain’s chief creative officer, Ed Ulbrich says. “Dre has a massive vision for this.”
Exciting! I would pay money to see this tour. Would you?
