Bodyguards for Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen opened fire on photographers at the couple’s second wedding outside the model’s home in Costa Rica early Saturday evening.

No one was injured, but a bullet smashed through the rear window of the photographers’ SUV and then through the front windshield.

“At that moment, I thought was going to die,” lensman Rolando Aviles told the New York Post. “The bullet went between us, missing our heads. If the bullet had been a little more to the left or right, it would have killed one of us.”

Aviles said he and colleague Yuri Cortez, both freelance photographers for the INF photo agency, had permission from Bundchen’s neighbor to shoot the wedding ceremony from a vista about 300 feet away from the ceremony. (Bunchen had sold official photographs to a Brazilian magazine.)

As they started snapping shots, the couple’s bodyguards chased after them, according to Aviles.

The two ran their separate ways.

Aviles’ colleague made it back to their SUV first and was greeted by a Brady bodyguard.

According to the Post, Aviles quoted the guard as saying, “Tom Brady just wants to talk to you. It’s OK, nothing’s going to happen.”

When the photographers went back to Bundchen’s house, three members of the wedding party and five bodyguards surrounded them.

Brady’s best man reportedly yelled, “Take a picture of me now, you f- – -er! F- – - you,” according the Post.

Not wanting to get into a fight, the photographers left the scene. As they were pulling away, a guard fired a shot, with a .38-caliber bullet blowing out the back windshield and hitting a front windshield wiper. The bullet eventually landed between the two photographers.

Said Aviles, “I thought this was going to be my last job.”

After getting married in a quiet ceremony, Tom Brady and Giselle Bundchen are planning a two day long wedding celebration. They plan to fly close friends and loved ones to Costa Rica for dinner on April 3rd with a second ‘replay’ wedding ceremony to follow on Saturday.

Gisele’s on the other hand is a far cry from the usual celebrity sized sparkler. Though they arrived together, Gisele left separately with a female companion to visit another office in Century City.

Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady wed yesterday in a Catholic ceremony in L.A., California, Usmagazine.com confirms.

The bride, 28, donned a form-fitting ivory lace strapless gown with a trumpet skirt, scalloped edges, long train and a floor-length veil with attached handmade satin roses and attached satin headband, all by Dolce & Gabbana. Her three dogs also wore matching Dolce & Gabbana floral lace collars.

Dolce and Gabbana most recently dressed Fergie for her nuptials.

The ceremony — which began at dusk — was “very small and intimate,” a source tells Us, adding that guests mostly consisted of immediate family. Brady’s son with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan, John Edward Thomas Moynahan, was also present.

(Fitting, as Bundchen once described her ideal wedding as “a simple ceremony…I don’t like parties, I prefer something more intimate, just for the closest people.”)

The Brazilian-born supermodel has been dating the New England Patriots quarterback, 31, since 2006.

A pal close to the couple told Us Bundchen and Brady are perfect together.

“She’s definitely ‘The One,’” the source said. “She really makes him comfortable and just happy.”

The couple purchased an $11.7 million home in a gated community in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles late last year.

Despite reports by various media outlets (including people.com and tmz.com), Gisele Bündchen says she and Tom Brady aren’t engaged.

“I don’t know how people are so creative,” the model, 28, told Brazilian magazine Caras Gi during São Paulo Fashion Week (via The Boston Herald). “First they said he proposed to me in a plane. Imagine, it was Dec. 24, Christmas, we were flying to Boston, then there was some champagne and we celebrated the date.

“Ready? Someone deduced I was getting engaged! I received more than 100 e-mails from friends commenting about the proposal,” she went on. “Now there’s a new rumor, that he proposed to me on last Friday [sic]. I wasn’t even there, how can that be true?”

She also denied reports that they plan to wed in Costa Rica.

“This talk of Costa Rica must be for the fact I have a house there,” she said. “I don’t know yet if it’s going to be here or in another country, but what I know is that it’s going to be something small, a simple ceremony. I don’t like parties, I prefer something more intimate, just for the closest people.”

Bündchen’s remarks echo what a source says in the new issue of Us Weekly, on newsstands now.

“The engagement rumors are not true,” a close Brady pal tells Us.

But wedding bells could be in their future.

“She’s definitely The One,” the source says. “She really makes him comfortable and just happy.”
