The editor of Britain’s Glamour magazine has come to Teri Hatcher’s defense after saucy comments the actress made in a column for the publication were taken out of context by the world’s media.

Hatcher was horrified when a leaked version of her new Glamour column led to headlines about sex advice she has been giving her young daughter.

Glamour editor Jo Elvin says, “Quotes taken from Teri Hatcher’s October British Glamour article have been grossly misreported and taken out of context by the worldwide media. We are disappointed that the true meaning of the column, written by Teri, which is always heartfelt and thought-provoking, has been twisted in this way in order to manufacture a headline. False media claims report Teri telling her daughter to have great sex (and) eat the chocolate, but… this misstates Teri’s words. In fact, in her column, she said that this is ‘not what I wanted my daughter to know at all.’ Teri Hatcher is a wonderful mother and the article truly represents great messages about living life as a woman and a mother with grace, humor and wisdom. The alleged child molester Teri Hatcher helped put behind bars has died in jail.

Richard Hayes Stone was serving a 14-year jail sentence when he died on Tuesday of colon cancer, according to reports.

Hatcher’s private testimony helped prosecutors determine that Stone, who was the actress’ uncle, was a child molester. She revealed that she was one of his victims.

Hatcher came forward after reading about the suicide of another teenage victim, who left a note condemning Stone’s sick actions.
Stone later pleaded guilty and was jailed in 2002.

Hatcher revealed all about her molestation hell and confirmed she had helped the authorities jail her uncle in a 2006 Vanity Fair article, and later in her autobiography Burnt Toast.

Teri Hatcher has raised $35,000 for children and adults affected by poverty in Kenya.

The Desperate Housewives star and daughter Emerson Rose,10, presented the donation during a two-week trip to Nairobi. During the trip, Hatcher took her daughter to a boarding school. And the star reveals the schoolchildren were so embarrassed to talk to her, they used her daughter as a go-between.

She says, “They loved my daughter. We talked about math. We joked. They would say, ‘What subjects do you like in school? What’s your hardest subject? What do you like? What do you do? What’s your favorite thing to do?’ We talked about sports. We talked about who likes science – stuff like that.”
