Taraji P. Henson takes no S**T.

Henson, 45, had a couple choice words at the 2016 Women In Film Crystal + Lucy Awards in Los Angeles on Wednesday, after she received a Lucy Award for Excellence in Television. And, guess what? It’s all about empowerment:

“Just don’t take no s–––,”  “You know, know you have a voice. Know that your voice is important, and fight until it’s heard. That’s what I did.”

“People are honoring me, and that’s because I’ve worked my a–– off to let people know that my voice is important, and you will not smother me,” she said. “You will not tell me that I’m not important. You will not tell me. So that’s how I build a career. I watched a lot of people eat crow.”

When receiving her award, Henson called out to all women – not those strictly in the industry – and encouraged them to continue the fight for equality in the workplace.

“We’re all we got ladies,” the actress told the crowd. “If we don’t support each other, who will? We have a bad rap sometimes in this industry – diva, difficult, catty. When all we’re doing is, in those moments when you call us being difficult, we’re fighting for what we deserve.”

She added, “If I do a job just as well as a man, people tune in every week, they see me, they root for me just like they root for him. Why should my pay be less than his?”

Taraji P. Henson Loves To Shop At Target

67th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards - Red Carpet

Despite what she wears on Empire, Taraji P. Henson revealed some very “down to earth” facts about her life.

The Empire starlet confessed that she’s adjusting to her new level of fame, but she’s not letting it get to her head. In a new interview by Extra, she confessed:

“It’s weird because I’ve been doing this for so long and it took a character like Cookie to expose me to the world in a way that I’ve never been exposed before.”

So what’s a way she’s staing grounded? SHOPPING.

“I love to shop at Target and I love to do my own shopping, but that’s become difficult… with the paparazzi. It’s like, ‘Where were y’all, like, 10 years ago?’ You have got to take the good with the bad. The good side is I can get into any restaurant… last-minute.”

Though in five years, Taraji hopes things won’t be as, uh, hectic:

“Hopefully, I don’t want to say ‘retired,’ but a little slowed down. Maybe just picking and choosing projects I want to do. Maybe enjoying the fruits of my labor.”

Don’t we all have the same wish, Taraji? Don’t we allllll.

Taraji P. Henson Gave Out Cookies…For Cookie.

73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards - Press Room

Uh…this is weirding me OUT.

After winning the 2016 Golden Globe for best actress in a television series (drama) the Taraji P. Henson showered the audience with…cookies?

Before taking the podium for her speech after winning for her role of Cookie Lyon on Empire, the star stole every cookie from her table and passed them out as she walked up:

“Cookies for everyone tonight – my treat,” said Henson while accepting the award. “Who knew playing an ex-convict would take me all around the globe?”

Uh, I don’t know. And when the music signaled her to leave, she, uh, did NOT want to hear it.

Please wrap?” she exclaimed. “Wait a minute, I’ve waited 20 years for this, you’re gonna wait. Yeah, you’re going to give me a little more time. My fans, they’ve been praying for this, they’re all on Twitter like ‘Yeah, yeah, hope you get it.’ ”

Does anyone else think Taraji seems crazy? Like, we get you’re excited but leave delicious cookies for people to EAT, not to step on in their couture heels on the way to the bathroom.

What do you think of Cookie’s DELICIOUSLY weird antics?

Taraji P. Henson: ‘I Still Feel Like I’m On The D-List’

Taraji P. Henson: 'I Still Feel Like I'm On The D-List'

Taraji P. Henson covers the October issue of “Ebony” magazine and inside she tells the publication that she still feels like she’s on the D-List. From the magazine, a few truths about the Hollywood actress:

1. What body part will you have to fix in five years?
My stomach. I get it from my mom, who had to get a tummy tuck because she didn’t exercise. I try to work out at least five days a week. But if it reaches the point where I am not satisfied, I’m just going to be like, “Can you suck this out of me? Thanks!”

2. What’s your No. 1 guilty pleasure?
Watching ratchet, ratchet television—like any of the Real Housewives shows, especially when they were fighting and a girl got her weave snatched out—that is my guilty pleasure. Sometimes, I’ll just sit in front of the TV, screaming, “Ratchet, ratchet, ratchet! Where’s the ratchet TV?”

3. What’s the last thing you used your celeb status to get?
To get my fat ass into a restaurant. If someone tells me there’s a wait, I’ll walk right to the front of the line like, “I need a table now. I need to eat, and I want this. So let’s work this out.”

I think she is completely underrated in Hollywood — she’s a great actress and deserves all of the due respect for what she has accomplished. Having said that, I still don’t care for those who pull the celebrity card in order to get ahead of other people in restaurants.

What do you think?
