Actor Paul Ruddhas signed up to star in a sequel to hit comedy Knocked Up, reprising his role from the 2007 original. Seth Rogenand Katherine Heiglfeatured in Judd Apatow’s Knocked Up as expectant parents dealing with the consequences of a one-night stand.
It has now been confirmed Rudd and Leslie Mann will reteam in a follow-up, which will be written and directed by Apatow. It is not known whether Rogen or Heigl will be joining the cast.
Methinks that Judd won’t be knocking down Katherine’s door, considering what she said about the original movie. In an interview with Vanity Fair in 2007, Katherine said called the movie;
“a little sexist” and adds: “It paints women as shrews, as humorless and uptight, and it paints the men as goofy, fun-loving guys. It was hard for me to love the movie.”
I wouldn’t mind one bit if Katherine wasn’t in the sequel. She drives me nuts.
The sequel is due for release in 2012, according to Variety.
Actor Seth Rogen’s romantic proposal plans turned into a nightmare when he realised his actress girlfriend was topless as he nervously fumbled with her engagement ring.
The Knocked Up star asked Lauren Miller to marry him in September and admits he had no idea how stressful the magic moment would be.
He recalls, “When I got the ring, it was so nerve-wracking, it was like someone gave me a truck load of heroin to hold onto… I felt like the Feds (federal agents) were gonna kick in my door at any moment.
“I couldn’t have a conversation with my girlfriend; all I could think about was this ring.
“I had all these plans… but literally the second I got it I walked right upstairs to where she was to propose to her, but she was in our closet changing, and she was literally only in her underpants and her boobs were out.
“I had already kinda started, and I was like, ‘Oh man, her boobs are out. That’s not part of the plan!’
“And I know she didn’t picture it like this; no little girl is like, ‘It’ll happen in a closet with my t**ties out’.
“I figured the only appropriate thing was to place the ring on her nipple.”
Life & Style is exclusively revealing that actor and writer Seth Rogen, 28, has proposed to his longtime girlfriend, writer and actress Lauren Miller, also 28.
“He surprised her with the proposal,” a friend of Seth’s tells Life & Style. “She’d started giving up hope that he would ever pop the question.” Seth asked Lauren – whom he’s been dating since 2004 – to be his bride just last week, after the two returned from visiting family in Boston. “Her family adores him; everyone is thrilled to plan a wedding,” the friend adds. As for Seth, there’s no doubt as to how he feels about Lauren: “I have a girlfriend who is far prettier than I should have,” he’s said.
Um, how is this dude only 28. He looks older than that to me.
Yahoo Movies has debuted the trailer for “The Green Hornet,” starring Seth Rogen, Jay Chou, Cameron Diaz, Christoph Waltz, Edward James Olmos, David Harbour, and Tom Wilkinson.
In the film, Rogen plays Britt Reid, the son of LA’s most prominent and respected media magnate. He is perfectly happy to maintain a directionless existence on the party scene – until his father (Tom Wilkinson) mysteriously dies, leaving Britt his vast media empire. Striking an unlikely friendship with one of his father’s more industrious and inventive employees, Kato (Jay Chou), they see their chance to do something meaningful for the first time in their lives: fight crime. But in order to do this, they decide to become criminals themselves – protecting the law by breaking it, Britt becomes the vigilante The Green Hornet as he and Kato hit the streets.
Using all his ingenuity and skill, Kato builds the ultimate in advanced retro weaponry, The Black Beauty, an indestructible car equal parts firepower and horsepower. Rolling in a mobile fortress on wheels and striking the bad guys with Kato’s clever gadgets, The Green Hornet and Kato quickly start making a name for themselves, and with the help of Britt’s new secretary, Lenore Case (Cameron Diaz), they begin hunting down the man who controls LA’s gritty underworld: Benjamin Chudnofsky (Christoph Waltz). But Chudnofsky has plans of his own: to swat down The Green Hornet once and for all.
“The Green Hornet,” written by Rogen and Evan Goldberg, and directed by Michel Gondry, opens on January 14, 2011 in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D.
Seth Rogen says Megan Fox once gave him the kiss off.
On Thursday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, he recalled how they both appeared on the ABC late night show two years ago, and he was immediately struck when the Transformers stunner walked into his dressing room.
“She literally came in to my dressing room in sweatpants and a T-shirt, and everyone in the room stopped talking and stared,” he said. “Everyone thought I had won a prize or something.”
Rogen said that Fox was nervous because it was her first time on a talk show, so she asked him to sit with her on Kimmel’s couch while she was being interviewed.
The actor said he was happy to oblige and figured he could even sneak in a quick smooch because “often the male guest takes it upon himself to plant a small kiss on the cheek of the female guest as they come out.”
“I thought to myself, ‘When in my life will I ever get to kiss this woman? Now’s my chance!’” Rogen explained. “So I tried to do it, and to my memory, she physically stopped me from doing it and basically rejected me on television.”
He is still hurting.
Rogen quipped, “These last two years have been rough.”
