Growing up together, Mitch (Ryan Reynolds) and Dave (Justin Bateman) were inseparable best friends, but as the years have passed they’ve slowly drifted apart. While Dave is an overworked lawyer, husband and father of three, Mitch has remained a single, quasi-employed man-child who has never met a responsibility he liked. To Mitch, Dave has it all: beautiful wife Jamie (Leslie Mann), kids who adore him and a high-paying job at a prestigious law firm. To Dave, living Mitch’s stress free life without obligation or consequence would be a dream come true.
Following a drunken night out together, Mitch and Dave’s worlds are turned upside down when they wake up in each other’s bodies and proceed to freak the &*#@ out.
Despite the freedom from their normal routines and habits, the guys soon discover that each other’s lives are nowhere near as rosy as they once seemed. Further complicating matters are Dave’s sexy legal associate, Sabrina (Olivia Wilde), and Mitch’s estranged father (Alan Arkin). With time not on their side, Mitch and Dave comically struggle to avoid completely destroying each other’s lives before they can find a way to get their old ones back.
“The Change-Up,” directed by David Dobkin and written by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore, opens on August 5th.
Hunky Ryan Reynolds took the time out of his schedule to speak with Access Hollywood about his Proposal co-star, Sandra Bullock. He talked possibly doing another flick, who he would want in the movie, and if he’s bonded with Sandra’s son, Louis, yet.
“I would love to do another movie with her. I would be a fool to say no to that! If we can work it out, I will definitely — I will be there and I’ll be on my best behavior.[...]Betty White will be there, but she will not be on her best behavior,” he said. “I mean, my God — there’s a risqué, risqué little lady!”
The Green Lantern star was asked if he has had the chance to “squeeze” little Louis, and if he holds the title of Uncle Ryan:
“He’s not an action figure… that’s a delicate child right there. You know you’ve got to be careful with those.”
“Uh, no, I don’t think so. Ryan said when asked if he is called that. “I mean, you know, if we were in India I would be, just ‘cause I’m older. But no, I don’t think I’ve officially held the title of uncle.”
Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively turned up last night in support of the Warner Bros Presentation at Cinemacon, held at The Caesars Palace Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The duo star in the new WB film, ‘The Green Lantern’.
Scarlett has been spending a lot of time with Sean Penn, vacationing with him in Mexico, and being spotted having a PDA-filled lunch together.
Meanwhile, Ryan Reynolds has been cozying up next to German model Agnes Fisher!
25-year-old Agnes was spotted alongside Ryan in South Africa, where Ryan’s filming Safe House.
The 5’8″ beauty has modeled for Bebe, Reebok, Sure deoderant and Adidas. She’s been on the covers of SHAPE magazine, Health & Fitness and Runner’s World.
Ryan Reynolds is currently filming ‘Safe House’ in South Africa, and yesterday he brought a cute blonde to the set with him! She followed him around the set, watched him shoot scenes, and appeared to be quite cozy with the star as the above picture shows!
Heads turned at L.A.’s Chateau Marmont at 11 p.m. Jan. 28, when exes Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson, who filed for divorce Dec. 23, got drinks on the patio and chatted for an hour.
Johansson, 26, did most of the talking in what appeared to be a rollercoaster conversation. She would at some points smile, then appear to fight back tears. Turns out it wasn’t just a nightcap, either.
The pair also dined at L.A.’s Little Door earlier that night and “seemed comfortable,” says a source.
So are they back on? “There are no plans to reconcile, but they’re still friends,” adds an insider. (Reynolds, 34, spent a flirty New Year’s Eve with Sandra Bullock; a rep for Johansson recently denied reports that she is dating Saturday Night Live’s Jason Sudeikis.)
Says another pal of the former couple, “They have divorce details to work out, and they’d rather do it face-to-face than in some office.”
