Depression didn’t cause Robin Williams to commit suicide

Depression didn't cause Robin Williams to commit suicide

Robin Williams’ widow Susan has opened up about the late actor’s suicide and what caused it…and according to her, it wasn’t depression that was the culprit.

She talked about the brain disease, Diffuse Lewy Body Dementia, that took hold of Robin and their fight against it.
She revealed, “It was not depression that killed Robin. Depression was one of let’s call it 50 symptoms and it was a small one.”

She went on to say that the symptoms “present themselves like a pinball machine. You don’t know exactly what you’re looking at.”

She said that he experienced crippling anxiety attacks and after an accident with a door left his head bloodied, things were getting worse and worse. She revealed that doctors couldn’t pinpoint exactly what was wrong until the autopsy. She said, “I know now the doctors, the whole team was doing exactly the right things. It’s just that this disease was faster than us and bigger than us. We would have gotten there eventually.”

She said, “I’ve spent this last year trying to find out what killed Robin. To understand what we were fighting, what we were in the trenches fighting and one of the doctors said, ‘Robin was very aware that he was losing his mind and there was nothing he could do about it.’ This was a very unique case and I pray to God that it will shed some light on Lewy bodies for the millions of people and their loved ones who are suffering with it. Because we didn’t know. He didn’t know.”

Robin Williams’ family settles legal battle over his estate

Robin Williams' family settles legal battle over his estate

Robin Williams’ widow Susan Schneider Williams and his three children Zachary, Zelda and Cody have all ended their nearly year-long battle over the actor’s estate. According to a report from the Huffington Post, the legal dispute over Williams’ $100 million estate has been settled out of court.

Reportedly, his children were set to inherit his full estate upon his passing, including thousands of personal items. In his will, he also included a provision for his wife. Schneider claimed that she wasn’t receiving enough funds to maintain the home she shared with Williams prior to his death. Still, his children said that she was “adding insult to a terrible injury” by trying to change things up.

While exact terms of the agreement were not disclosed, lawyers stated Schneider will receive enough support to continue living in the home during her lifetime. Zachary, Zelda and Cody Williams, however, will eventually inherit the property.

“While it’s hard to speak of this as a win, given it stems from the greatest loss of all, I am deeply grateful to the judge for helping resolve these issues,” Schneider said in a statement obtained by People. The actor’s widow was also able to keep “the few emotional items she requested,” including wedding gifts, select clothing and a favorite watch.

Williams’ children will receive the majority of their father’s personal possessions, including his Academy Award, six Golden Globes, two Emmys and five Grammy awards, according to the Los Angeles Times.

“The children are relieved to have this behind them,” a lawyer for the Williams children told The Associated Press.

We’re just glad that everyone can finally move on from this. RIP Robin Williams.

Robin Williams’ Family Has Ten Days To Hash Out Property Dispute

Robin Williams' Family Has Ten Days To Hash Out Property Dispute

Robin Williams didn’t want his personal business out there, but it is now thanks to a lawsuit filed by his wife Susan Williams. His children and widow are now duking it out in court over his personal property. They have all been given ten days total to get the matter handled before it gets turned over to a judge to be settled.

TMZ reports:

During a hearing in San Francisco today … the judge urged both parties to meet outside court — possibly with a mediator — to figure out who gets what.

In December, Susan Williams filed docs … claiming a bunch of Robin’s possessions — including the tuxedo he wore at their wedding — had been removed from their home. Robin’s kids countered that Susan was trying to rob them of items like awards, watches, and photos that Robin wanted them to have.

The judge gave them an April 10 deadline.

The attorney for the Williams estate tells TMZ … Robin was intensely private and would not want this playing out in public — but now it has to, since Susan took legal action. He added … no one has removed a single item from Robin and Susan’s home.

It’s a shame that they couldn’t settle this matter privately.

Robin Williams’ Estate Being Fought Over By Widow and Children

Robin Williams Dead At The Age Of 63 **FILE PHOTOS**

Robin Williams‘ estate is bitterly being fought over…which I assume is not the way he wanted his family to commemorate him.

Robin’s widow, Susan Schneider, has filed legal docs complaining someone came into the house days after Robin’s death and took some of the actor’s things. But the kids tell a very different story. TMZ reports:

Zak, Zelda and Cody Williams claim Susan is essentially attempting a money grab by ignoring the plain language of his will and trust and trying to redefine it to benefit her.

Sources connected with the kids tell TMZ … Susan refused to let them in the house after Robin died. We’re told before Robin met Susan — he was very clear in the trust he created … he left his personal effects, including his Oscar for the movie “Good Will Hunting”, movie memorabilia, action figures, graphic novels, theater masks and other items to his 3 children.

Susan — who was only married to Robin for 3 years — acknowledges she has no right to items related to his acting career, such as his suspenders from “Mork and Mindy,” but she wants other items like the tux from his wedding and other “knickknacks.”

Sources connected with the children say Susan can absolutely keep the items she accumulated with Robin while they were married, but they say she has gone way further. For example, they’re indignant she is apparently trying to redefine the word “jewelry.” We’re told the kids are supposed to get all of it, but she’s saying “jewelry” does not include his watch collection.

And people who were extremely close to Robin say he would be heartsick that this was not worked out between family … privately.

Ugh, this is making me heartsick just reading this.  How much do you think Susan Schneider is entitled to?
