Penelope Cruz is flawless on the May 2012 cover of Harper’s Bazaar, on newsstands April 29. The 37-year-old Spanish actress opened up about her family, fashion, and her idol

On her idol, Meryl Streep:
“When I first started watching movies and I saw Meryl’s work, that’s when I became obsessed with acting. Now I kiss her whenever I see her! She must think I’m crazy.” On recalling a magazine shoot she had to do with Meryl a few years ago for the AIDS charity (RED): “As soon as she got to the set, I had to sit topless on top of her. It was the most interesting love scene I’ve ever done.”

On Working with Woody Allen:
She launches into a story of shooting her first film after having Leonardo, Allen’s To Rome with Love. (She won an Oscar for her deliciously unhinged role in Vicky Cristina Barcelona.) “I love being around Woody. Watching him direct, and sometimes,” she whispers, “he falls asleep while they are lighting the next shot. I take pictures of him because he picks the strangest positions. I always think he is going to fall off his chair.” But it’s when he’s awake that Penélope says she loves Allen the most: “That whole shoot I laughed so hard.”

On how she characterizes herself:
“[I'm a] worrier. I am living for every day and trying to have less fear, less worry. But I have always worried about everything; it’s in my nature. It’s the thing that makes me suffer the most.”

On her red-carpet fashion choices:
“All I look for is to be able to breathe!”

On her son Leonardo:
Ask about Leonardo and she gives a diplomatic smile and declines to elaborate. “I talk about him all day long, even to strangers in the street; it is my favorite subject! But, you know; this is my job.”

New parents Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz were photographed arriving at their London hotel with their 13-month-old baby Leo yesterday.

The scene looked a little chaotic as everyone got organized and Penelope carried Leo into the hotel. Look at those chubby cheeks! Who do you think Leo looks like – Penelope or Javier?

As if staying in a luxury hotel weren’t enough, a few minutes later a massage table being delivered to Cruz and Bardem’s suite!

Must be nice!

Penelope Cruz spends time in between scenes with her husband Javier Bardem while she is in Rome, Italy working on the latest Woody Allen film. Bardem was all smiles as he followed his wife from place to place while she was on the set of Allen’s new film project “Bop Decameron” which co-stars Alec Baldwin, Juno star Ellen Page and The Social Network actor Jesse Eisenberg.

Penelope Cruz flaunts her post-baby body in a tight red dress on the set of her new movie!

The “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” star is pairing up with the film’s director, Woody Allen, once again, this time for the film, “Bop Decamerone.” It was announced she’d be joining the cast — which now includes “The Social Network” star, Jesse Eisenberg, and “30 Rock” funny man, Alec Baldwin – in April.

The actress gave birth to her son, with husband Javier Bardem, earlier this year but has already shed the baby weight and looks fantastic with her post baby curves.

I loved ‘Vicky Cristina Barcelona’ – probably the only Woody Allen movie I like. I love Penelope, so hoping this new movie will be good!

In the latest issue of Vogue, Pirates of the Caribbean actress and new mom Penelope Cruz speaks on motherhood, and her hopes to keep her almost 3½-month-old son out of the spotlight.

“I want my son — and my kids if I have more — to grow up in a way that is as anonymous as possible. The fact that his father [Javier Bardem] and I have chosen to do the work that we do, doesn’t give anybody the right to invade our privacy.”

She goes on to talk about the first moments of seeing her baby:

“Even if you have heard from all your friends and family, ‘This is what’s going to happen,’ until it happens to you, it’s hard to understand in your soul. From the first second, you feel so much love. It is a revolutionary experience. It transforms you completely, in a second.[...]Nature is very wise and gives you nine months to prepare, but in that moment — when you see that face, you are transformed forever.”

Even with a newborn, she is determined to continue her global charity work with other entertainers such as Sean Penn and Bono, saying:

“Even if you were aware of children and felt compassion, when you have your own, it multiplies. It breaks your heart to know that there are so many children in the world suffering so much.”
