Paris Hilton has dismissed reports she was recently attacked by a disgruntled reveller at a Los Angeles club, and believes the rumors were started to garner more publicity for the nightspot.

The socialite was allegedly punched in the face while making an appearance at L.A.’s Coco de Ville nightclub on Tuesday, leaving her with a large bruise on her cheek.

But the hotel heiress insists the rumors are totally false, and believes she is part of a ploy to get the club in the press.

She tells E! News, “I had a great time last night and didn’t even have an argument with anyone. I don’t know where they come up with this stuff. It’s a completely made-up story. (It was made up) Maybe (for) publicity for the club. It was my first time there, so I think someone just put that story out there so the place would get a bunch of press.”

Paris Hilton is adamant her image as a fun-loving party girl is not real - insisting she is paid to attend most social events.

The hotel heiress is regularly pictured out and about at nightclubs, both in the U.S. and during her many trips abroad.

But Hilton claims that in reality she is very different to her socialite persona - and only goes to events because she will collect a paycheck at the end of the evening.

She says, “When they see me at parties, I am actually getting paid to be there. There is no such thing as bad publicity.”

Gossip Girl star Blake Lively has branded rumors she tries to act like Paris Hilton as “dumb” - because she couldn’t be less like the socialite.

Lively has been dogged with reports of diva-like behavior since hitting the big time in TV show Gossip Girl in 2007 - but she is keen to dismiss reports she behaves like the heiress.

She tells U.S. magazine Seventeen, “Since I have a dog and blond hair, that must mean we’re alike. It’s a dumb thing to say. I don’t think that makes us similar. I don’t know her, but I don’t like being compared to anyone by somebody who doesn’t know me. I’m my own person. I don’t go to clubs, I don’t party, I don’t dance on tables and I don’t like sex tapes.”

Paris Hilton has been banned from getting a tattoo by her rocker boyfriend Benji Madden, because he wants her to remain “pure”.

The socialite, reality TV personality, and sex-tape star reveals that Good Charlotte rocker Madden is planning to have an image of her etched on his heavily-tattooed torso.

But Hilton isn’t allowed to return the compliment.

She explains, “He is going to get one of me but he won’t let me get one. He doesn’t like tattoos on women. He thinks I look pure.”

Keep your ears perked, ladies and gentlemen, because the musical talents of Paris Hilton are heading back to the airwaves. And this time, she’s teaming up with her musician boyfriend, Benji Madden, to make it happen.

Paris tells E! News exclusively that the duo have been working in her new recording studio (conveniently located in her Beverly Hills mansion), writing songs—including a theme for her upcoming MTV show My New BFF.

“Benji and I have been working hard on it,” Paris said. “He’s helping me write the lyrics for the song and then I’ll sing it, too.”

The reality show, which films Paris as she tries to train a new best friend among a pool of 20 contestants, ended taping earlier this week and is set to air mid-September, says the heiress.

And while she’s excited to perform her own theme song, that’s just the beginning. Remember that album Paris she released two years ago? Well, you guessed it—she wants a follow-up.

“Definitely,” she says. “I’ll have another album come out, for sure. I just don’t know when yet. I only have the summer off, then I’ll be taping another season of BFF. But an album is something I’ll do.”

Maybe she’ll pick up a few more musical tips when she meets up with Benji in Knoxville, Tenn., where his band is performing for the July 4 holiday—a trip we presume she’s taking for “research” purposes, of course.

Paris Hilton is keeping to her post-prison promises by helping the less fortunate - she has made an “extremely generous” donation towards the construction of a children’s hospital in Los Angeles.

The star has put an undisclosed amount of her own money to help with the building of a new wing of the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, according to hospital officials.

Hilton made a promise to become a better person after spending 23 days in jail last year following probation violations on alcohol related reckless driving charges - claiming she wanted “to help raise money for kids and for breast cancer and multiple sclerosis”.

The money donated by the hotel heiress will go towards a Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases and will open in 2010.

The blonde beauty comes from a family of charitable folk - her grandfather William Barron Hilton was named as America’s top charity donor of the past year after handing out $1.2 billion to charity via the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation in 2007.
