Babystreet’s just around the corner from Backstreet!
On Wednesday, news broke that Nick Carter and his wife Lauren Kitt are now the proud parents of a baby boy, who (as you’d imagine) has a very ridiculous Hollywood name: Odin Reign (hey, that rhymes). The kid was born on Tuesday and while Nick and his botoxy wife were planning to give their son a “strong name” I guess I didn’t realize it would be quite so Louis Tomlinson/Kourtney Kardashian of them.
The one thing I can say is that I’m impressed Lauren was able to endure 30 hours of labor, and BY WATER BIRTH. That’s some serious baby-having.
Nick Carter was arrested in Florida on Wednesday night, and it was NOT pretty!
The Scene: Key West, a normal Wednesday night at the Hog’s Breath Saloon. The characters: Carter and some drunk dudes. According to an eyewitness, Nick was taken into custody at 8:13 pm down in Key West after some kind of scuffle inside the bar, and eventually the cops showed up and busted Carter.
According to TMZ, the former boy bander listed his occupation as “none.” Keeping it low key so it’s off the radar, Nick? DON’T EVEN TRY IT. Dude was booked for misdemeanor battery.
I guess the Miami cops aren’t big Backstreet Boys fans.
Congratulations are in order for Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter and his wife Lauren Kitt Carter – as the couple are expecting their first child together.
The couple got engaged in 2013 and tied the knot in 2014 at the Bacara Resort in Santa Barbara. They documented their relationship and road to marriage on their VH1 reality show “I Heart Nick Carter” last year.
He has previously said that he was afraid of settling down and starting a family, but he said that everything changed when he met Lauren. He said in the past, “I said I’d never get married.”
His bandmate A.J. McLean said previously, “We’re all family. To see our little baby brother finally make that big, big final step. Next step is having kids. Obviously, they just got married, so obviously take your time.”
Nick Carter hasn’t been busy in a while and is fighting for relevancy, so…
Us Weekly reports that the former Backstreet Boy has officially joined the Dancing With the Stars Season 21 after four years in a row of offers from the DWTS crew. “I’m excited,” he dishes in Us Weekly’s latest issue.
Fellow boy band rival-turned-friend, Joey Fatone participated in Seasons 4 and 15. and finally helped the star cave to the offer:
“He talks about it all the time and I was really debating if I wanted to do it, and he said, ‘It’s a great experience, it keeps you in shape and it’ll teach you a lot of stuff,'” Carter says of his ‘N Sync pal’s advice. “He said, ‘You’ll get what you put into it.’ And I’m a hard worker, so I think it’ll be fun.”
Oh yeah, and Carter’s little brother, singer Aaron Carter, finished in fifth place with partner Karina Smirnoff during Season 9 of the ABC hit, so there’s that:
“My brother was on it; he did great; and he’s a great little dancer and entertainer so I saw it through his eyes throughout that experience,” the elder Carter brother reveals. “And there’s a lot of competitiveness in me and I think there’s a little something inside of me that says, ‘Okay, I’m going to go there and represent the Carter name and do even better than what he did!'”
Can we stop pretending doing this is for anything but a little more fleeting, fleeting fame? As proof, check out what Nick Carter is up to lately…detailed in this 2012 music video below. Get it, Nick. It’s all you got.
