I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE this song. Nelly Furtado’s “All Good Things”. Enjoy!
It’s hard to believe Nelly Furtado, the pop star who we’ve never seen bare more than a mid-riff, seriously mulled over an offer from Playboy. But in an interview with MTV, she says she had to really think hard before turning down the chance to join the immortal ranks of everyone from Marilyn Monroe to Anna Nicole Smith and Chyna.
“I [was] offered half a million dollars to pose fully clothed,” Nelly said. “It’s not to say that I would never do it. It’s intriguing, it’s very tempting. It’s got to be under the right terms. We will see what happens.” Um, Nelly? Your July photoshoot for Blender, where you’re showing off a tight stomach under an unbuttoned white dress shirt, was pretty much the most modest thing that magazine has ever ran. You don’t strike us as the Playboy type, but that’s something you’ll have to sort out with Hugh.
Nelly, a total knockout despite her current bangs that make her look like she has no eyes à la Boober on The Fraggles, does confess that she has a certain amount of ladylike sensibility when it comes to keeping her sexiness a secret. “If you wanted to be naked everyday as a pop star, you could be naked everyday,” she told MTV. “There are people that would love you to be naked every day. But myself, I would like to save a little bit for the bedroom. It’s something to be preserved a little bit for myself.”
Nelly, who will be 28 on December 2, admits 27 has been one smokin’ sexy year for her and not just because “Maneater” had junior high kids sprinting for the dictionary to learn what “nympho” means. “For me, I am a late bloomer,” she says. “I have grown into my sexuality.”
PS, tickets for the Victoria born pop star’s Canadian tour go on sale Saturday, November 25, except for in Ottawa, where they go on sale Friday, November 24.
Nelly Furtado’s 3rd album, “Loose” came out today, and you owe it to yourself to go get it. I love her first CD, kinda slightly liked her second, and this far outshines the first two.
The album is so good…really good. I tell you to go to Target, because that’s where I bought it, and I don’t know if ya’ll know this or not, but if you catch a DVD or CD on the Tuesday it comes out, you get stuff cheap. I bought her CD for $11.88. But tomorrow, it will go up to full price. So go today!
Below are pictures of Nelly getting goodies at the Much Music Awards.
