Naomi Campbell may be a supermodel and supermodels may be known as divas, but Campbell was anything but when she visited the set of Ugly Betty, according to one of her costars.

“She is so willing to make fun of herself,” said Michael Urie, who starred with Campbell during her guest appearance on the ABC show. “She really is awesome.”

At opening night of Palazzo’s Jersey Boys in Las Vegas, Urie admitted that he was skeptical about Campbell upon hearing of her involvement in the show — “because, you know, we’ve all heard about her,” he said — but found her to be a breath of fresh air from the beginning.

“She’s done so many interesting things in the past and she was as great as could be,” he said of the scenes where Campbell plays as an opposing softball player. “She was laughing the whole time.”

Campbell will appear on the season 2 finale along with another famous guest star — Lindsay Lohan.

Naomi Campbell is to follow in the footsteps of fellow fashion queen Victoria Beckham after accepting a cameo role in hit TV series Ugly Betty. The catwalk queen will play herself in the upcoming second series finale, according to the show’s star Becki Newton.

The actress says, “She’s going to be in our last episode, which is exciting. I’ve personally requested that I don’t stand next to her because (my character) Amanda would not like to be seen with such a tall, pretty person.”

Campbell was originally announced as a guest star last year, but the Hollywood writers’ strike scuppered plans.

A spokesman for network ABC confirmed Campbell would be appearing in the show.

Beckham appeared on the show in November when she played a bridesmaid to Vanessa Williams’ catty fashion boss character, Wilhelmina Slater.

Naomi Campbell is refusing to set foot on another British Airways plane after she was arrested for arguing with flight staff in London.

Campbell allegedly assaulted a police officer during a luggage row on April 3rd, and was escorted off the plane in handcuffs.

Despite news she had been banned from BA flights after the controversy, Campbell claims company officials have since spoke to her directly, “begging” her to fly with them in the future.
Campbell eventually made it to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil – her destination, where she has been talking to the local media about boycotting BA.

She says, “Someone from BA called me and asked that I return to fly with them, but this will not occur so early. They didn’t find my bag – said it wasn’t in the system – and there was a complete disrespect for the passengers. I am not speaking for myself. I am speaking for all those who have been disrespected.”

A representative for British Airways says, “We have not confirmed or denied that any passenger has been banned.”

No, it wasn’t anything personal — just medical. Naomi had surgery in February to remove a cyst; thus, she needs to wait longer before donating blood.

Have no fear though — the 37-year-old, who was arrested two weeks ago for assaulting a police officer in an airport, is still feeling the love in Brazil. She often visits the country and Rio Mayor Cesar Maia has invited her to be a goodwill ambassador for the city.

The supermodel was released on bail after she was arrested at London’s Heathrow airport following a dispute over her luggage, which was lost in the airport’s recent Terminal 5 luggage fiasco. Campbell allegedly spat at an officer and was handcuffed as she left the British Airways aircraft, which had yet to take off from Heathrow. And now the airline has banned the 37-year-old from flying on British Airways planes, according to British newspaper The Sun.

A source tells the publication, “The decision (to ban her) was not taken lightly. She is a valued customer. But it is unthinkable for BA to talk about the safety of staff and passengers being out priority, and then let her off.”

But Campbell’s spokeswoman is determined to have the ruling overturned, saying, “Naomi has been flying with BA for nearly 30 years and has been a good customer. She hopes this can be resolved amicably.”

A police source tells British newspaper News Of The World, “The Crown Prosecution Service will be consulted, but the expected outcome is a caution.”
