Lauren Conrad opens up about her decision to leave The Hills after five seasons in the newest issue of Us Weekly, on stands now. “You see us on the show and we appear to have semi normal lives, but if you watch any entertainment news show, half of the cast is being swarmed by paparazzi,” the 23-year-old says. “I’m excited to go back to having just one life, because there were times that I got them confused. But the decision to leave is still “bittersweet,” she says. “I’ve spent the last five years making every decision be about the show. People I date have to be able to film, the places I work have to let us film and the places I live have to have set lighting.” Conrad — who has branched out as a fashion designer and author — continues: “I loved doing it and had so much fun, but it came to a point where I had done it long enough.” Conrad has kept her growing relationship with My Boys’ Kyle Howard off the show, which she calls “very difficult, because when you’re with someone, they become a very big part of your life.”
Although she calls the cast and crew “family,” she admits it’s stressful being followed 24/7. “There have been some scenes — extra scenes that’ll probably never come out — of me getting upset and taking my mic off. I say, ‘I’m done!’ and lock myself in my room,” she says. “There was a time when I was really stressed, and I would get sick a lot. I think I was sick of all of season three!”
MTV cameras have been following Conrad since she was a high school student on Laguna Beach. Her last season of The Hills, which debuted in 2006, premieres March 30. Producer Liz Gately told the Associated Press they’re still figuring out how to give Conrad a big send-off — and how to continue the show without her.
MTV, FremantleMedia North America and executive producer Justin Timberlake are taking viewers on a relentless, heart pounding, adrenaline ride as “The Phone” premieres on April 21st at 10pm ET/PT. The innovative, six episode series is a genre-busting, one hour cinematic competition that simulates what it would be like for viewers to be dropped into the middle of a thrilling adventure movie.
“The Phone” is a groundbreaking game show whose blend of reality and cinematic action-adventure pulls its participants out of their everyday lives and thrusts them into a high-stakes labyrinth of engagement, suspense and intrigue as they race against time for a huge cash prize.
Each week, the lives of four unwitting strangers are interrupted and changed forever by a phone call where a mysterious voice invites them to participate in the game. If they choose yes by pressing “one” on their cell phones, the now new contestants begin to trigger dangerous events that propel them into their adventure and the chance to win up to $50,000.
The mysterious voice pairs the contestants up into two teams and instructs them to follow a movie-like drama that leads them through a series of mental and physical challenges from hanging off the edge of Seattle’s Space Needle to racing into a burning building to save a man’s life. The player’s loyalty, courage and morality are tested and their true nature is exposed when a surprise and shocking twist is revealed at the end of the game.

Below is Justin Timberlake being interviewed on Jimmy Fallon on Monday!
Although The Hills just started filming the fifth season, feuds have already erupted!
On February 27, while enjoying a night on the town at Hollywood hotspot My House, Audrina Patridge, 23, and Brody Jenner’sPlayboy Playmate girlfriend, Jayde Nicole, became embroiled in a heated fight.
“They were filming for The Hills and Jayde was rolling her eyes and being rude to Audrina,” an onlooker tells In Touch.
“Jayde and her girlfriend finally approached Audrina and went crazy, yelling at her.”
It looks like Jayde, 23, wasn’t very happy about Audrina’s relationship with Brody. “Jayde has always been jealous of Audrina and thinks Brody has a thing for her,” says an insider. “But Brody and Audrina are just friends.”
The night ended with Jayde leaving, but seeming to need assistance because she appeared tipsy.
Audrina insiders insist, “She thinks Brody is a good friend and that’s it.” Jayde and Brody, 25 have been dating for five months.
Rest assured: The Hills is still alive with drama.
A trailer for the MTV show’s upcoming season (airing in March) has hit the web — and things get even more dramatic between Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt.
One clip shows Pratt hitting on a bartender.
“What gets you up on the bar dancing?” he asks her.
Her reply? “Pour some sugar on me.”
Montag hears about it, gets irate and angrily confronts him. (Another scene shows Pratt getting into a bar fight.)
Of course, The Hills wouldn’t be complete without a few tears. Montag is seen crying in front of Conrad (again).
“My favorite memories are my memories with you!” she hysterically tells her.
The Hills cast spends the day at Sunset Beach in Hawaii. They spent the afternoon filming their show in bikinis with the boys going out for an attempt at surfing. All the cast were there except Heidi and Spencer.
