Having maintained a low profile since the death in January of her and husband John Travolta’s 16-year-old son, Jett, Kelly Preston is quietly doing movie work, assuming her role as the mother of Miley Cyrus’ character in the coming-of-age film, The Last Song, say news reports.

Shooting is taking place in Savannah, Georgia. Greg Kinnear is also in the cast, playing an estranged father.

Preston, 46, will also be seen this November in Old Dogs with Matt Dillon and Robin Williams. Travolta, 55, did not participate in the recent promotion of his current film with Denzel Washington, The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 but expressed his appreciation to those on the production who, he said on his Web site, “stepped up without hesitation to help promote this wonderful film … their unselfish efforts have allowed my family the additional time to reconcile our loss.”

Sure the Disney star was smooching Liam Hemsworth in a recent photo, but it’s another photo that’s circulating on the internet that’s got us worried.

Just last night a photo of someone who looks like Miley Cyrus hit the internet, showing her in a very “compromising” position. We obviously cannot show you the photo here, because she’s a minor and it’s just disgusting.

Thankfully, her rep has come to the rescue and has debunked rumors of the photo being of Miley.

Her rep says, “The alleged photo of Miley Cyrus circulating the internet is completely fabricated.”

Miley Cyrus films a romantic scene with co-star Liam Hemsworth for her latest project, The Last Song, a Disney film based on the Nicholas Sparks novel of the same name. Today was the official first day of filming. Hemsworth, who plays Miley’s love interest in the film, is an Australian actor best known for his roles on the Australian soap Neighbours, Home and Away, and in the television series The Elephant Princess.

After less than a year of dating, Miley Cyrus and Justin Gaston have called it quits, Usmagazine.com has learned.

The two split on Sunday, a source tells Us.

“They have been having trouble for a while,” says the insider. “It’s been hard for a long time since Miley has been working so much and traveling a lot.”

Contrary to reports, Cyrus’ ex Nick Jonas “was not the reason for the split, but they have been spending time together.”

Added the source, “Miley and Nick are working on a couple different projects together. Justin has been a little jealous of that.”

The 16-year-old Hannah Montana star — who recently flew to Savannah, where she will be shooting the upcoming Nicholas Sparks drama, The Last Song — hinted at a split over the weekend when she told Us that Gaston, 20, won’t be joining her on the road.

“He’s got his own thing going on,” Cyrus told Us. “But I am just continuing to work hard and definitely have the whole tour going on and my clothing line and the movie.”

A rep for Cyrus had no comment.

My favorite, my lovely Bradley Cooper!  He was walking by us, and I screamed out “Bradley! Just one pic?” He stopped, flashed his baby blues and pearly whites, and gave us a great picture.

Billy Zane was awesome! I yelled out “Billy!” He paused, I took his picture, and then I said “I love you.” He said “Well, I love you more!” at the exact moment that second picture was taken.  He loves me.
