Doing the publicity rounds for ‘Black Swan,’ Mila Kunis reveals she went on a binge eating spree after months of strict dieting for the film.

“My mom freaked out,” Kunis says. “She was like, ‘You have to promise me his isn’t going to affect you.’ I was like, ‘I promise it won’t, but it might take me a little time to be OK with having a little more fat on me.’”

“There was no tequila! Not sure where that rumor came from, but it’s false,” she told PEOPLE at the AFI Fest 2010 presented by Audi Closing Night Gala Thursday. “I don’t think we could have done that scene if we were intoxicated.”
While “that scene” may not have required the aid of lime and salt, both Portman and Kunis (who are are close friends off-screen) say it wasn’t the only hurdle overcome to make the film.
She adds: “They’re never comfortable, same-sex, opposite-sex, it’s never comfortable.” Not to mention, both Portman and Kunis (who are are close friends off-screen) underwent rigorous ballet training and body transformations for the film.
“I started a year ahead of time,” Portman, who claims she developed longer arms and better posture, says of her dance training, “and by the end I was doing eight hours a day.”
Kunis says she “lost 20 lbs.” and “looked like Gollum from Lord of the Rings! … Everything was just protruding.”
Here’s the trailer for “Friends With Benefits,” starring Justin Timberlake, Mila Kunis, Patricia Clarkson, Jenna Elfman, Bryan Greenberg, Richard Jenkins and Woody Harrelson.
In the movie, a young female headhunter (Kunis) in New York convinces a potential recruit (Timberlake) to leave his job in San Francisco behind and accept a job in the big apple. Despite an attraction to each other, both realize they’re everything they’ve been running from in a relationship and decide to become friends… with benefits. It’s the perfect arrangement–until they realize there’s no such thing as no strings attached. “Friends With Benefits” opens July 22, 2011.
