Camila Alves doesn’t think of Matthew McConaughey as the Sexiest Man Alive – to her and their 2-month-old son Levi, he’s just Dad.

“I don’t look at him like that,” she tells BabyCenter, an online community for moms and dads. “He’s a man – he’s my man – and we’re a family. He’s the best dad he can be, 100-percent hands-on.”

The Brazilian model and handbag designer, 25, also opened up about her grueling 60-hour labor.

“It wasn’t such a pleasant experience,” she says. “We went through 14 hours with contractions every two minutes, no epidural, no nothing. Every two minutes I would pass out. I went to the hospital on Saturday, and Levi was born on Monday.”

Despite her desire to give birth naturally, Alves underwent a C-section. “We tried every single way of giving birth. It didn’t work. I wasn’t too crazy about having to do a C-section and take all the drugs. Finally, I just had to be like, ‘Let it go.’ ” And finally, Levi was born at 6:22 p.m. July 7, at 7 lbs., 4 oz.

Since then, little Levi has kept a full social calendar, tagging along with his parents to a John Mellencamp concert, to events like the launch of his mom’s luxury handbag line and to watch his dad, 38, run a 10K in Austin.

All the excitement is no problem for Levi, Alves says. “If our lifestyle was doing anything to harm him, we’d have to adapt, but he loves it. He loves the action. He loves to be right in the middle of it. He actually doesn’t like it when it’s too quiet.”

Alves, who’s currently designing a new collection for Muxo (which will include diaper bags), says she and McConaughey plan to raise Levi bilingually. “Most of my family doesn’t speak English. It’s so important for the baby. He’s going to know all his American roots, but he also needs to know about his Brazilian side.”

Matthew McConaughey angrily confronted a paparazzo after a triathlon in Malibu, California when the over-eager snapper got too close to the actor’s newborn son Levi.

The Fool’s Gold star took part in the gruelling event on Sunday, running, swimming and cycling his way through the tough endurance race alongside new mom Jennifer Lopez.

After completing the race, McConaughey was congratulated by his girlfriend Camila Alves who had been cheering him on from the sidelines while holding their tot. But the star soon lost his temper with a photographer after he began to follow the pair along the beach, upsetting Alves by taking snaps up close.

In a video posted on TMZ.com, McConaughey can be seen approaching the snapper, telling him to “back off” several times.
It is not the first time the actor has had trouble with photographers in Malibu – two local surfers were charged with battering a paparazzo who got too close to the star while he was riding the waves.

Matthew McConaughey is backing his pal Lance Armstrong to win the next Tour de France cycle race.

The cyclist – who has dated a string of celebrities including Kate Hudson – recently announced his return to the sport after a three-year break.

And McConaughey, who is a close friend of the sportsman, insists that Armstrong can go on to win his 8th title at the legendary event in 2009.

He tells Access Hollywood, “Whenever we get together I like to hop into his training regime. He doesn’t need much of my help training, I promise you that. I’m happy he is going back to do it. And he is going back to win it. He’s got the strongest mind of a guy I’ve ever met. Whatever he sets his mind to do it, I’m gonna bet on it.”

New dad Matthew McConaughey brought the ‘Surf’ to the sand in his hometown of Austin, Tx., Wednesday night at the premiere of his new comedy, ‘Surfer, Dude’ — and ET was there!

Straight from the red carpet, ET talked to Matthew about his adorable son Levi and the joys of making his new film with his hometown friends. Co-star Woody Harrelson hailed Matthew as being one of the “coolest, greatest guys.” And Matthew’s mother Kay McConaughey told ET that her son is “a good father, trust me.”

Opening exclusively in Austin theaters on September 5, ‘Surfer, Dude’ casts Matt as a dedicated soul-surfer who returns to Malibu to find his hometown vibe corrupted by new, high-tech sponsorship demands. Unwilling to take part in Virtual-Reality Video Games and Reality TV, he soon finds himself out of money, without sponsors — and facing a flat surf in a biblical twist of fate.

With the help of his manager (Woody Harrelson), his mentor (Scott Glenn), his guardian angel (Willie Nelson) and his summer lover, (Alexie Gilmore), can Matt keep his cool? Or will he sell out?

The surfers who thought they were lending Matthew McConaughey a hand have been slapped on the wrist.

Two men who allegedly roughed up a photographer who was angling for shots of the actor hanging ten on a Malibu beach were charged Tuesday with misdemeanor battery and are due to be arraigned in October.

One of the handful of shutterbugs at the scene told police after the June 21 confrontation that the territorial surfers shoved him and threw his camera in the ocean.

But while video of the incident (posted online, of course) showed at least a dozen wave enthusiasts closing in on the paparazzi, only 24-year-old Skylar Peak and 30-year-old Philip Hildebrand are facing charges.

“I’ll give you a thousand bucks if you leave right now,” one of the surfers can be heard saying to the paps. “Hey, you guys, they don’t want you here, and nobody that lives here wants you here,” said another.

The ever-peaceful McConaughey, who leaves the beatings for his bongos, was not involved in the fracas.

They may not be married, but Matthew McConaughey calls the mother of his child, Camila Alves, “the love of my life.”

“I always wanted to be a father and thought it would be great, but it just took the right woman and the right time to make it all happen,” he told People as he unwound after running Sunday’s Nike & Human Race in Austin, Texas.

(The 10-kilometer run took place on the same day in 25 cities around the globe, raising money for the Lance Armstrong Foundation, the World Wildlife Fund and NineMillion.org.)

“[Camila] is the love of my life,” he said after crossing the finish line in under 44 minutes (beating his goal of 45). “Everything is right. It’s all good.”

Post run, he and Alves – a model and handbag designer who gave birth to their son in early July – brought baby Levi to check out the Ben Harper concert. (Little McConaughey was wearing tiny jeans and – yes – a white tee shirt.)

“We’re a family now,” said the Surfer, Dude star. “I see the future and it’s clearer to me now. Walking around with this cool responsibility all the time, it’s a wonderful thing.”

(He’s not even two months old, but concerts are already becoming old hat to Levi. His dad took had already taken him to see a John Mellencamp show.)

“We have a little bit more prep-time put into going places and doing things, getting him ready and everything,” he said while relaxing in the VIP area. “But it’s amazing.”
