One day after Mariah Carey delivered her twins in Los Angeles, she and husband Nick Cannon renewed their wedding vows! The couple married on April 30, 2008 – and delivered their twins – a boy and a girl – exactly three years later.

Rev. Al Sharpton conducted the renewal ceremony on Sunday – from Mariah’s hospital room. He also blessed the babies, whose names have not been released.

I am just leaving Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon. She had twins yesterday on their 3 rd anniversary. I had prayer with them and the babies.

I also conducted the renewal of their vows and the blessing of the newborn twins. Mariah looks GREAT, and the babies are beautiful.

I am so moved by the sincere spiritual commitment of Mariah and Nick. They have not let success separate them from GOD. I am so proud.

Forget honeymoon getaways. As a mommy-to-be to twins, Mariah Carey knows it’s all about the babymoon! The dazzling music artist took a few days off for relaxation before the arrival of her babies. She hung out with close friends at Terranea Resort in Palos Verdes, Calif.

Mariah and her guests nestled in on 102 lush oceanside acres that afford daily dolphin sightings “the setting is so indescribably beautiful,” Mariah tells Life & Style. Terranea provided a breathtaking backdrop for playing rousing games of Taboo and Catch Phrase with her pals, nibbling on tasty treats from the Spa Café and indulging in as many relaxing spa treatments as possible.

“As my fans know, I love the ocean, and I love dolphins. But I never dreamed I’d be sitting fireside in a copper tub watching schools of wild dolphins passing by throughout the day!” gushes Mariah.

The twins are due in just a few days… and Nick and Mariah can’t wait to take them home!

Yes, that’s right! Not one, but TWO nurseries for Mariah Carey, of course!

As you already know, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are having twins, and they plan on raising them on both coasts. Mariah and Nick have built a glammed-out nursery in their Bel-Air, Calif., estate… and another in their NYC apartment.

“I wanted to create a beautiful, tranquil, cozy environment for the babies,” Mariah tells Life & Style in an exclusive interview. “Everything matches, but pieces are individualized to celebrate the twins as separate entities.”

And instead of doing the traditional pink and blue, Mariah and Nick have accented their nurseries with side-by-side pink and green cribs.

But what does Mariah love the most about the babies’ new rooms? The ceiling studded with clouds and gold stars!

“The ceiling has orangey-pink clouds in a blue sky with golden stars twinkling. It’s based on two songs I wrote that are fan favorites: ‘Underneath the Stars’ and ‘Close My Eyes,’” Mariah tells Life & Style. “Sometimes I just sit in the nursery and stare at the ceiling because I love it so much. To me, it symbolizes wanting my children to dream as big as possible and to let their imaginations be unbridled.” Mariah also incorporated her favorite winged insects, butterflies, into the nursery and super-soft stuffed-animal lambs, what the singer endearingly calls her fans.

When I first saw this cover, I thought to myself “Life & Style”? Really? That’s all she could get? No one else was interested? Seems so low-rent to me.

Mariah Carey has posted pictures of her belly before on Twitter, but this new Life & Style cover is the most revealing! (Last week, Carey posted a picture of her baby bump on Twitter, painted to celebrate her birthday.)

The singer is less than a month away from meeting her twins, a boy and a girl, her first children with husband Nick Cannon.

Mariah Carey has posed for her fair share of portraits, but none has been as personal or emotional as these exclusive belly-baring snaps. Mere days away from welcoming her first and second child, Mariah proudly showed off her pregnant body to Life & Style.

“I was feeling very vulnerable about taking pictures at all right now, but then I didn’t want to miss this opportunity to document this once-in-a-lifetime experience,” Mariah exclusively tells Life & Style. “My ultimate goal was to share this incredibly personal moment with my true fans.”

And the twins — a boy and a girl — were clearly ready for their closeups.

“The babies were kicking almost the entire time; it was unbelievable,” Mariah tells Life & Style. “Especially the girl — clearly she’s a diva in training! We didn’t start shooting until 1:30 a.m. because I was in the hospital from the night before until the day of the shoot with contractions five minutes apart!”

Indeed, although Mariah’s not due for a few weeks, the twins could be making their grand entrance sooner rather than later. Contractions sent mom to the hospital on March 27. But for now, Mariah and soon-to-be-dad Nick Cannon are simply reveling in their twin bliss! And Nick says he is more attracted to his wife than ever. “I thought I couldn’t love Mariah more,” he tells Life & Style. “But I have a whole new appreciation and admiration for her.”

Mariah adds, “Now I have so much respect for mothers everywhere, especially those who’ve had difficult pregnancies or given birth to multiples. We need to have Mother’s Day once a week!”

According to sources, contractions sent Mariah to the hospital on Sunday. Carey tweeted, “So #dembabies really wanted 2 celebrate w/us/share the anniversary! I started having contractions last night..went 2 the hospital…”

Over the next couple tweets, Carey explained that the contractions were under control and she was released. “[H]appy anniversary in deed!!![sic]”

Carey refers to her birthday as her anniversary. She and husband Nick Cannon were married in April 2008. Carey turned 42 on March 27.

On March 6, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon gathered an intimate group of friends and family at the rooftop Conservatory Grill at the Montage hotel to celebrate the arrival of their twin boy and girl, due in late April or early May.

“I’d never been to a baby shower,” Mariah Carey tells the new issue of Life & Style, on stands now. “This was my first one — it was so festive!”

The shower, hosted by her pr and management team and Angel Champagne’s Stefano Zagni, was decorated in pink and blue hues — from the balloons and flowers to the servers’ aprons and the napkins. Guests—including celeb pals American Idol judge Randy Jackson, host Piers Morgan, actress turned director Penny Marshall, Sopranos alum Lorraine Bracco, and director Brett Ratner—noshed on a selection of gourmet pizzas and appetizers and enjoyed Mariah’s very own champagne, Angel.

“Nick and I were so grateful to everyone who came to celebrate with us,” Mariah tells Life & Style.

A 6-foot-long gift table was filled with tiny outfits, books and stuffed animals but possibly the best gift came from her fans.

“There was a lot of love in the room, and to top it off, fans from more than 50 countries sent well-wishes and stories in a book they made for our twins titled Always Be My Babies, which was the sweetest gesture in the world,” Mariah tells Life & Style. “It was a night I will never forget.”
