America’s Got Talent judge Piers Morgan was left exhausted after Mariah Carey’s guest appearance on the show - because the singer forced production staff to work around the clock to make sure her “three-minute” appearance was perfect.

Earlier this month, the pop superstar appeared on stage during an episode of the hit TV show, which is hosted by her husband Nick Cannon, to belt out her new single ‘Obsessed.’

Carey wowed the judging panel - which also includes David Hasselhoff and Sharon Osbourne - with her pre-recorded performance.

But Morgan admits the spectacular rendition came at a price, because Carey had to make sure every tiny detail was perfect before she would let TV bosses air the footage.

“She’s such a perfectionist. We were all in the studio until nearly midnight as she planned her three-minute appearance, right down to the detail of the lighting, sound and camera angles. And work with producers in the editing suite apparently continued to 6 a.m. until she was absolutely happy. Mariah has the reputation of a diva. But like most divas - from Piaf to Whitney Houston to Madonna - that’s primarily because she’ll do whatever it takes, however long it takes, to get things as good as they can be,” said Morgan.

Mariah Carey has silenced gossip about the state of her health following a slew of cancellations - calling her recent schedule changes “no big deal”.

Last week, Mariah scrapped an upcoming appearance at a televised concert in New York, leaving teen star Miley Cyrus to fill in for her.

She has also postponed the release of her new album Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel for a second time, which was initially slated to hit stores on 25 August 25th, but now won’t get a release until the end of September.

The news has sparked fears for Carey’s health, with internet gossips suggesting the star may have fallen ill. But a representative for the singer is adamant the delays are noting to worry about.

Carey’s publicist Cindi Berger says, “These dates have been postponed and not cancelled. Record release dates change all the time. It’s nothing unusual and it doesn’t signal anything. There are a lot of moving parts to Mariah’s professional life. It’s no big deal.”

Mariah Carey has hit a few bumps in the road with her new album, “Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel”. Now she can add another bump to that list.

Apparently the songbird has pushed back her release date again. She posted this on her official website:

Mariah is putting the finishing touches on her newest album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, and we have shifted all of our TV and promo appearances to coincide with the new release date of September 29th. We can’t wait for the fans to hear the new album !!

Eminem and Mariah Carey are at it again.

On Thursday, the rapper debuted a new song, “The Warning,” slamming his ex and going into full detail about a sexual encounter they once had. Only reason I dissed you in the first place is because you denied seeing me. Now I’m pissed off,” he says before he starts his rap.

“You wanna hear something wick wack?/ I got the same exact tattoo that’s on Nick’s back,” he says, referring to Carey’s husband Nick Cannon.

Eminem also blasts Carey for mocking him in her latest music video, “Obsessed.”

“Oh gee, is that supposed to be me in the video with the goatee?/ Wow Mariah, didn’t expect ya to go b—s out./ B—h, shut the f— up before I put all those phone calls out/ When you was wilding out/ Before Nick, when you was on my di–,” he raps.

He then threatens to reveal personal pictures he has of the Carey. “Mariah, it ever occur to you that I still have pictures?” he asks.

The feud between the two began earlier this year after Eminem namedropped Carey in the track “Bagpipes From Baghdad” from his latest album Relapse. “Mariah whatever happened to us / Why did we ever have to break-up?” he rapped. “Nick Cannon, you better back the f— up. I’m not playing, I want her back, you punk.”

Cannon later shot back on his blog, calling the rapper (who goes by the name “Slim Shady”) “Slim Lamey.” He added that Eminem is “still obsessed with my wife, the same female that wouldn’t let him get to second base from 8 years ago.” A month or so later, Carey got the last laugh by mocking Eminem in “Obsessed.”

We’ve just heard that Mariah Carey is delaying the release of her upcoming album, “Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel”.

Reportedly, the album does not have the Mariah seal of approval and that she needs more time to make it the way she wants it.

The August 31st Grammys deadline does not give her enough time to finish the CD properly.

The album is set for a tentative release of September 15, 2009.
