Lynne Spears is writing another book.

In her upcoming memoir, Lynne Spears “will get into the dark period of Britney’s life — from a mother’s eyes,” Curt Harding, a rep for Christian publishing company Thomas Nelson, says.

The book — slated for a September release — will be titled Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World.

“Lynne begins by telling the story of her own family,” Harding says. “She’s going to go into it.”

He says Lynne had been working on the book “for at least a year” but took some time off in light of Jamie Lynn’s pregnancy and Britney’s hospitalization.

She was like, “I can’t write a book right now, I’ve got to take care of my family,’” Harding says.

“I think people will be surprised about who Lynne is,” Harding adds. “That’s what I’ve gotten from it so far. I think she’s stronger than people give her credit for.”

The memoir, Harding says, “will be useful for moms who will read it and say, ‘I can see myself in those same shoes.’”

Lynne Spears’ memoir set for a fall release

Lynne Spears

Lynne Spears’ memoir about raising her famous daughters Britney and Jamie Lynn will be released this fall, the publisher confirms to People.

“When Jamie Lynn got pregnant, it was put on hold,” says a spokesman for Thomas Nelson, which publishes inspirational books and Bibles. “Lynne never stopped working on it because she wants to express her love for her children and tell their stories through a mother’s eyes.”

“Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World” is likely to be released in September, says the spokesman.

Spears’s manuscript “will not be a parenting book,” he says. “It’s her story of what it was like being a mom and raising two very famous people. It’s a memoir.”

Lynne Spears denies giving an interview to Life & Style magazine

Lynne Spears

A tabloid magazine has just been published, claiming on its cover to have an “Exclusive Interview” with Lynne Spears. But Britney and Jamie Lynn’s mom did not talk to the rag.

The magazine claims that in this so-called exclusive interview, Lynne admitted to being upset about 17-year-old Jamie Lynn’s pregnancy. Well, OK! can tell you exclusively that this is anything but the truth.

Her spokesperson tells OK!: “When Lynne Spears is ready to give an interview I can assure you it will be a true account without speculation as to whether or not she participated.”

Lynne Spears: “I’m upset my daughter’s pregnant”

wenn1737688.jpg

It’s been a trying few months for Lynne Spears. First her youngest daughter, Jamie Lynn, went public with the shocking news of her pregnancy in December, when she was just 16. Then in January, her oldest daughter, Britney, 26, was hospitalized twice for mental illness — before being diagnosed with bipolar disorder, say insiders. Since then, an exhausted-looking Lynne, 52, has been shuttling back and forth between her home in Kentwood, La. (near where Jamie Lynn is staying), and Los Angeles, where Britney lives, trying to care for both girls while keeping quiet about her family’s troubles.

But on April 20, Lynne finally broke her silence, giving an exclusive, emotional interview to Life & Style. And she didn’t hold back. When asked about Jamie Lynn, now 17, Lynne spoke frankly. “I’m a bit disappointed that my youngest daughter got pregnant at such an early age,” she tells Life & Style. “All I can do is turn to God for answers and just leave it in his hands.”

But despite her frustration over the situation Jamie Lynn has gotten herself into, Lynne is trying to look on the bright side. “Jamie Lynn will be a wonderful mother,” she says. “She really has a way with children — she’s a natural nurturer. I just wish she had waited a bit.”

When it comes to Britney — who ended her long estrangement from her mom after leaving the psych ward at UCLA Medical Center on Feb. 6 — Lynne offered love and support. She also said she believes the key to solving the troubled pop star’s problems lies in her spending more time with her sons, Sean, 2, and Jayden, 1.

“I pray for Britney every day to be a better mother,” Lynne told Life & Style. “She’s gone through a lot of trauma, but she seems to be coming out of it — and it’s showing in her relationship with the boys. They’re really bonding.”

As for the future, Lynne remains hopeful for both daughters, telling Life & Style, “I think 2008 will be a better year for all of us.”
