Lily Allen looks set to follow in Britney Spears’ footsteps by dating a photographer - the singer is harboring a crush on a member of the paparazzi.

Spears famously dated snapper Adnan Ghalib, who was a member of her ever-present paparazzi following, and their on/off relationship came to an end earlier this year.

Allen, who is currently in Los Angeles recording her second album, has been dogged by photographers throughout her U.S. trip - but she admits she doesn’t mind being followed as there is one snapper in particular who has caught her eye.

She writes on her Myspace.com page, “Seriously I have never been followed like we were today, there were literally 20 cars of razzi (paparazzi) with us. Not that I’m complaining, they were perfectly pleasant, in fact we had a bit of a laugh with them and I quite fancied one of them.”

Lily Allen spent last night having dinner with her old buddy Samantha Ronson — and one of the most talked-about stars in Hollywood.

But you’d never know it from her blog!

Even though Lily sat next to Lindsay Lohan, rumored to be Sam’s girlfriend, at the restaurant, the British singer conspicuously refused to mention her by name in her post on Myspace today.

The 23-year-old, who had not spent time with the troubled Herbie actress before last night, rambled on about everything from the Coke she had with lunch to the type of tomatoes in her salsa, but pointedly referred only to Samantha’s “friend”.

“I came back to the hotel at about 7,” the Smile star wrote today, “and went straight to dinner with my number one fan and avid reader of my blog Samantha.

“We went to this place called Il Sole. The food? Amazing. I love truffles, big time, and they didn’t disappoint.

“Samantha brought a rather famous friend with her and about 50 million paparazzi.”

Lily Allen is thrilled to be allowed back into America - after she was banned from the country by immigration officials last year.

The Smile hitmaker posted a blog on her MySpace page on Sunday telling her U.S. fans that she is happy to “be back”.

Allen was forced to scrap dates in America last year after her work visa was confiscated following an alleged attack on a paparazzo in London.

The 23-year-old writes: “So, they let me in. Hello America, it’s nice to be back. Immigration was funny; they only kept me for an hour or so.”

Allen is in the country to continue recording songs for her as-yet-untitled second album, according to GigWise.com. The record is due out later this year.

Lily Allen has sparked rumors she is dating the son of Hollywood actor Dustin Hoffman.

The Smile singer - who recently split from Chemical Brother star Ed Simons - was spotted spending time with wannabe film director Max Hoffman during the Cannes International Film Festival in France last month.

But Britain’s the Daily Star Sunday is reporting that the pair have struck up a relationship and plan on meeting up as soon as Hoffman next visits her native U.K.

A source tells the publication, “Max and Lily were at this VIP bash and she started chatting him up. He thought she was a lovely, cute girl, but didn’t have a clue who she was. They sneaked off and had some private time together but I don’t think it went as far as either of them wanted it to. Max was gutted she was leaving for London the next day. They swapped numbers and have been in constant touch ever since.”

Lily Allen has apparently reneged on the apology she gave for her drunken behaviour at a recent awards show, claiming the drinks she consumed were “spiked”.

The Smile singer, 23, looked fresh-faced at the start of Tuesday’s Glamour Women of the Year Awards, but, by the end of the night, she was so inebriated she had to be carried to her car.

Writing on her MySpace.com blog the following day, Allen admitted she was “putting her hands up” to the fact she had been “very drunk”, and concluded her entry by urging fans to “drink responsibly”.

But speaking to British newspaper columnist Janet Street Porter on Thursday, the star insists her intoxicated state was unprecedented, and may have been caused by a substance other than alcohol.

She says, “Yeah, I don’t know what happened, maybe I was spiked. I don’t remember a thing. I can normally get really drunk, but not like that. The worrying thing was that I was like a dead weight. I have been out so many times and got drunk and never ended up like that.”

“What was worse was that the cab just drove off with only me in it. My brother and my mates were not with me. I didn’t have my house keys or my bag, so I felt totally vulnerable. When I finally got home I just passed out.”
