Lenny Kravitz has denied reports he’s set to join supergroup Velvet Revolver.
The Let Love Rule singer fuelled speculation he’ll be Scott Weiland’s replacement in the band after he joined Slash and his mates in the studio.
But Kravitz won’t be fronting Velvet Revolver any time soon.
He tells RollingStone.com, “I know and love the Velvet Revolver guys but there is no truth to the story about me joining their band.”
Kravitz isn’t the only singer linked to the band - former Skid Row star Sebastian Bach and Spacehog’s Royston Langdon have also been named as possible Weiland replacements.
Weiland was kicked out of the band in April after fighting with his bandmates.

Lenny Kravitz has denied rumors he is having an affair with the wife of baseball star Alex Rodriguez.
Rodriguez’s relationship with his wife Cynthia has been at the centre of mounting speculation following rumors of infidelity.
And when Kravitz was seen accompanying the New York Yankees star’s wife during a recent stay in Paris, France, gossips suggested the pair was involved in a secret romance.
But the rocker insists the relationship is purely platonic.
He tells Us Weekly, “There is absolutely no affair between Cynthia Rodriguez and myself. This is unequivocally one hundred per cent not true. Cynthia is a friend and (she) is here with the godfather of her baby, who is Alex’s trainer, his wife and their baby girl. She came here to escape from everything happening in New York City. I opened my home to her as a friend.”
Alex Rodriguez hit the headlines earlier this week after he was linked romantically to Madonna, following reports she was set to divorce her director husband Guy Ritchie. Those rumors have also been denied by Madonna’s representatives.

Rocker Lenny Kravitz was taken to a Miami hospital on Monday suffering from an extreme case of Bronchitis, a spokesperson for the singer said.
The 43-year old singer had been suffering from a series of severe respiratory tract infections stemming from the flu since mid-january, and the illness evolved into bronchitis.
In a statement obtained by the A.P., the spokeswoman said, “Due to extreme dehydration and fatigue, doctors were unable to control it with outpatient treatment and advised the singer to check into the hospital. He was taken this morning to the emergency room at Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami for immediate treatment.”
Details on Kravitz’ condition and his expected stay were not immediately available, however his illness forced him to postpone a trip to Europe, where he was set to promote his new album It Is Time For a Love Revolution, which was released last week.

Lenny Kravitz’ new album lifts the lid on his rift with his late father, Sy. The singer left the family home when he was just 15-years-old because he couldn’t bear to watch his father regularly cheat on his mother.
He says, “We never saw eye to eye and I moved out when I was 15. I was a mama’s boy, and his infidelities were something I took personally.” The pair met and reconciled shortly before Sy died in 2005. In new track A Long and Sad Goodbye - from Kravitz’ latest album It is Time for a Love Revolution - he sings, “Papa why did you turn your back? Why didn’t you stay on track?”
