“The Hills” star Lauren Conrad is doing her part to combat dating-related violence by working with Avon to donate profits from her beauty and accessories line, mark, to anti-violence groups.

“I have partnered with mark in its first initiative, aimed at ending the cycle of dating abuse and violence. Women ages 16-24 experience the highest rates of partner violence, and mark and I want to change that statistic,” Conrad said.

Avon says in a product listing that 100 percent of the net proceeds from Conrad’s Have A Heart Necklace will be donated to the Girls M.powerment Campaign.

Conrad serves as the spokesperson for the campaign as well as the first Honorary Co-Chair of the M.powerment Expert Advisory Board.

Despite continuing speculation that MTV’s drama-packed reality show, The Hills, is staged, star Lauren Conrad insists that it isn’t.

“No, I’ve never gotten a script,” Conrad tell Extra’s new host Mario Lopez. “But people always think it’s scripted. Unfortunately, I have to take credit for all the words that come out of my mouth.”

Lauren answered questions from viewers about dating on TV, to which she replied, “Don’t do it! I think just have fun with it. Even Lauren’s good friend, Brody Jenner, wanted to know how the fledgling fashion designer makes her “girl-mances” work when cameras are following her around.

“I think that loyalty and honesty are really important to me and someone you can have fun with no matter what you are doing.”

This, of course, does not include Hills nemesis, Heidi Montag who’s now infamous falling out with Lauren at the end of season 2 spiked ratings and, along with Montag’s boyfriend Spencer Pratt, spawned the dynamic duo known as “Speidi.”

Lauren is still close with Heidi’s sister, Holly, but doesn’t think that will ever bring her closer to her former best friend.

“No, I don’t think so,” she says. “She [Holly] was a really good friend of mine when she lived here.”

Beyond The Hills, Lauren is gearing up to design the dresses for the Emmy trophy presenters at this year’s Emmy Awards. As far as her own red carpet attire, she says, “My dress is long and flowy. I want more of a Grecian look, so I will do it [my hair] back and kind of messed and put some braids in the hair.”

She’s already a reality star and a fashion designer, but Lauren Conrad is adding another title to her crowded resume: Author.

Conrad, 22, has signed on to write a three-book series of young adult fiction for HarperCollins, the publisher tells PEOPLE. The books – the first of which is scheduled to hit shelves in the summer of 2009 – will be loosely inspired by Conrad’s own experience going from an ordinary teen to a reality TV star.

“It’s definitely influenced by my own life,” Conrad tells PEOPLE. “The books are about a girl who moves to L.A. and stars in a reality show, so obviously there are some similarities.”

So will Hills costars like Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt or Brody Jenner wind up as in Conrad’s series? Not exactly. “I’m not trying to do a fictional story based on all my friends in my real life because their stories aren’t really mine to tell,” says Conrad, who has gone through many dramas on her MTV show. “Some of the characters may symbolize people in my life, but it is in no way calling anyone out.”

Conrad’s best gal pal and The Hills costar Lauren Bosworth has already been offering advice. “I run ideas by Lo and I’ll ask for her opinion because I value my friends’ opinions,” says the budding author, who has completed the outline for the first book.

But not everyone in Conrad’s life has been clued in to her plans to pen a series. “Honestly I haven’t told everyone,” she admits. “I’ve told my best friends and they have all been really supportive. Nobody was worried.”

“Last night’s episode of ‘The Hills’ was intense,” she writes. “I think that’s the third time I’ve cried so far on the show!!! Haha! I’m so glad Lauren and I had that talk.”

Why the need for such a sit-down? Audrina blogs, “There were a lot of little things that just kept adding to the tension. The new living situation, the new friend/roomie, the rumors you read and hear about in magazines and on gossip sites, moving on in the industry on my own, the whole flirtyness with certain someones that was uncalled for, and only being a true friend when it was called for were all building up. It was these and many other things that kept adding to the fire, and eventually led to the breakdown which included tears and big decisions.”

Now that she and Lauren are back on good terms, Audrina has high hopes for the latest season of her MTV hit show, “I feel that in the fourth season things have changed so much and continue to keep changing. It’s going to be a good season, don’t you think? ”

Lauren Conrad was involved in a minor car accident on Sunday night, when her driver accidentally reversed into another vehicle outside a Los Angeles restaurant.

The reality TV star had just left sushi eatery Katsuya when her chauffeur rear-ended another waiting car, reports website TMZ.com.

There were no reported injuries and no serious damage was done to either vehicle.
