Lauren Conrad is hoping to expand her clothing line to cater for skateboarders – like her teenage brother.

The Hills star has had mixed success with first fashion line, but she has been asked to design the gown usher Miss Emmy will wear at the upcoming Emmy Awards next month – and now she’s branching out with her 16-year-old brother Brandon.

She explains, “He’s got this really cool style, and I’m always bugging him that we should do a guys’ line together.”

Lauren Conrad’s self-titled clothing range, The Lauren Conrad Collection, was picked up and dropped by celebrity favorite store Kitson in Hollywood.

But after failing to shift the items, Kitson bosses have decided to dump the line altogether, according to Access Hollywood.

It’s not the first time a celebrity’s collection has failed to attract attention from Kitson clients – Victoria Beckham’s dVb Jeans range was scrapped in April following complaints of poor sales and a lack of promotional work from the star.

Lauren Conrad has a message for her Los Angeles neighbors who have complained about the traffic and noise she attracts to their quiet tree-lined streets: She’s moving.

OK, the movers aren’t coming tomorrow, but The Hills star tells me she’s already thinking about selling her house. “We’re going to have to move after we’re done filming,” Conrad says.

Because the house is so accessible from the street, it’s become an attraction for paparazzi and tour buses.

“You can hear the tour guides like, ‘Just yesterday, we saw Lauren Conrad pulling into her driveway and she stopped to get the mail,’ ” Conrad says with a laugh.

“And Lo [Lauren Bosworth] was walking down the street one day and they were like, ‘Here on the left we have a celebrity dog walker walking Chloe.’ They knew my dog’s name and Lo was like, ‘They just called me a celebrity dog walker!’ ”

Conrad reveals she’s likely to head back to her Laguna Beach roots. “I would love to return to Orange County,” she says. “L.A. is a really young city and it’s great for now, but eventually I’m going to want to settle down a little bit.”

But this 22-year-old beauty (her skin really is flawless) is not ready to pack it in anytime soon.

She’s currently, of course, promoting the heck out of Monday’s season-four premiere of The Hills. She’s busy designing summer ’09 for her Lauren Conrad Collection fashion line. Then there are the ideas she’s whipping up for two dresses to be worn on Emmy night by the award show’s trophy women.

Conrad has also been thinking about starting a men’s line with her 16-year-old skater/surfer dude brother. “He’s got this really cool style, and I’m always bugging him that we should do a guys’ line together,” Conrad says. “It would be more his thing, but I would help him with it.”

One thing Conrad says she won’t be helping with is Barack Obama or John McCain’s bids for the White House. Unlike Heidi Montag’s very public support for McCain, Conrad explains, “I believe in a private ballot. I don’t want to ever influence someone’s vote or have my vote change someone’s opinion of me.”

They only way she’d possibly hit the campaign trail would be through—what else?—fashion. Asked which potential first lady she’d rather dress, Conrad says, “Probably Obama’s wife. I just think she’s beautiful.”

Lauren Conrad confirmed to People that she will be designing at least one dress for next month’s Emmy Awards, calling it a “huge compliment”. “I’m doing one. I may be doing two,” she said Saturday in Las Vegas before hosting a night at Christian Audigier The Nightclub.

The designer of the Lauren Conrad Collection will be dressing the show’s “trophy girls” who bring the awards on stage for the eventual winner. Conrad elaborated, “It’s a huge compliment to be asked to do that, and it was really amazing to be taken seriously.”

The invitation to design the dress is a major victory for Conrad who has been chastised by some who recently said she isn’t involved in her clothing line. “I didn’t even really respond to the rumors because they were so silly,” she said. “It was someone who knew how important the line is to me and knew that that would hurt me.”

Dressed in BCBG, The Hills star also squashed rumors that she is dating My Boys actor Kyle Howard. When asked is the two were dating, she laughed, saying “No, but I do know him, yes.”

Lauren Conrad has been hailed a saint by a teenage cancer sufferer after the reality TV star handed over $10,000 and her Teen Choice Award surfboard to him.

Conrad met 13-year-old leukaemia patient Pat Pedraja at Saturday’s Do Something Awards in Los Angeles, and presented him with $10,000 for his work recruiting bone-marrow donors.

The following night, at the Teen Choice Awards, she dedicated her Choice TV Female Reality/Variety Star win to the teen – and then gave him the surfboard honor she got to take home as a winner.

In a post on the Do Something website, a thrilled Pedraja writes, “She didn’t have to go out of her way to give me a present and she didn’t have to dedicate her award to me, but SHE DID! I want to tell everyone that Lauren Conrad is an exceptional person, more than a reality TV star or fashion designer, but a person that I am proud to look up to.”

ET has confirmed that Lauren Conrad will be joining the cast of “Greek” for the final episode of the hit ABC Family series — playing herself.

“The Hills” star goes from unscripted to scripted in a tip of the hat to her own MTV series in a storyline that finds “Greek” sorority siren Casey (Spencer Grammer) in a situation similar to one that Lauren experienced on “The Hills” when she had to make a choice between a boy and a job.

A spokesperson for “Greek” tells ET that Lauren appears in a dream sequence, in which Casey asks herself, “What would Lauren Conrad do?” as she dreams that they are bff.

The new season of “Greek” premieres Tuesday, August 26 at 9 p.m. on ABC Family.
