Kid Rock has posted a bizarre online rant, encouraging young fans to steal his music and anything else they want.
The star, who this week revealed he is boycotting paid download website iTunes until they pay him more to sell his music online, claims he is happy to let fans download tracks for free – because he’s “rich”.
He also urges kids to steal laptops, MP3 players, cars, and gas from retailers – because big businesses can afford the loss.
He says, “The whole debate on downloading music has gone too far. There are record companies suing kids. You can illegally download my music, steal it if you will. Because I’m f***ing rich. How can I bitch about you downloading a song or two. I can’t. What I would encourage you to do? Let’s level the playing field. Steal everything. If you want a new MP3 player or a computer… Do you know how much money Apple and Microsoft have? Go in there, get a new laptop and run. You need a new car? Go steal a Toyota.”

Kid Rock is refusing to put his albums on internet music store iTunes – because he is not paid enough to do so.
The rocker has accused executives at owners Apple of not paying musicians enough money to sell their singles and albums through the download service.
He claims it was based on “an old system, where iTunes takes the money, the record company takes the money, and they don’t give it to the artists”.
He adds, “Back in the day, we all know the stories of the Otis Reddings and Chuck Berrys and Fats Dominos who never got paid.”
“So the internet was an opportunity for everyone to be treated fairly, for the consumer to get a fair price, for the artist to be paid fairly, for the record companies to make some money.”
“I will be on iTunes eventually because I can’t avoid it, but I like to always stick to my guns and prove a point and do something original and because I believe in it.”
Rock – real name Robert Ritchie – is the latest artist not to sign up to the service.
The Beatles, Garth Brooks and AC/DC have still not made their music available on iTunes.

Kid Rock has been forced to pull out of an appearance at the U.K.’s Download Festival after he was admitted to hospital on Friday.
The rocker canceled his performance just minutes before he was due to take to the Main Stage at the music event.
A statement from festival organizers reads: “We’ve had the curse of Download. Kid Rock is not very well (and) we’ve had to rush him to hospital in Nottingham (England). He apologizes to his fans.”
Fellow rock acts Judas Priest and Disturbed made up for Kid Rock’s no-show by treating festival-goers to longer sets.
As WENN went to press no further details about Kid Rock’s illness were available.

Kid Rock has compared his marriage to ex-wife Pamela Anderson to being “thrown under the bus” – because the experience was so traumatizing.
The 36-year-old rocker married the blonde beauty in 2006, but their rocky relationship only lasted five months before they filed for divorce.
And Rock admits his time with Anderson was one of the most difficult periods of his life.
He says, “It (marriage) taught me a lot. I touched the stove, it’s f***ing hot; it burnt the f*** out of my hand. I’m not going to touch the stove anymore.”
And the star – who has also dated rocker Sheryl Crow – claims his high-profile relationships have turned him off dating another celebrity in the future.
He adds, “I got burnt too hard. I got completely thrown under the bus, no question about that. I don’t want anything to do with the whole world she is in. It’s a very dark place. I’m not going to get caught up in any of that s*** anymore… those Hollywood relationships.”

Kid Rock has had a $25,000 lawsuit against him dropped, after a U.S. jury ruled the woman who accused the star of assault had no grounds to sue.
Kelly Ann Kozlowski filed papers against the rocker last year, claiming he threw her into a snowdrift outside his Brandon Township, Michigan, recording studio in March after she had refused to spend the night with him.
The 29-year-old old filed a police report against Rock – real name Robert James Ritchie – but no charges were ever brought.
Richie subsequently countersued Kozlowski, claiming she embarrassed and defamed him in her statement to police, but the lawsuit was dropped in November after the star failed to show up for a court hearing.
Now a seven-man jury has dismissed Kozlowski’s own suit, dropping the case in a U.S. court on Friday. And Richie’s attorney William Horton reveals the star is delighted with the result.
He says, “We’re very pleased. We wish we wouldn’t have had to be here in the first place, but we think the jury’s decision was justified. We said all along that he was a lightning rod for a celebrity shakedown.”

Kid Rock has been sued for battery by three men accusing him of lashing out after they asked for his autograph, leaving them “seriously injured”.
Michael Medlin, Carlos Bonilla and Jose Perez filed suit in Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday. They are demanding $15 million in damages after Rock and members of hip-hop group the Boo-Yaa Tribe allegedly assaulted them outside Hollywood club Teddy’s on 22 March, 2006.
According to legal documents obtained by entertainment TV channel E!, Rock and fraternal rappers Paul, Ted, Donald, Roscoe, Danny and David Devoux have all been listed as defendants in the case. The three plaintiffs are claiming wage loss, loss of use of property, hospital and medical expenses, property and general damages and loss of earning capacity. They were allegedly attacked after approaching Rock and the Devoux brothers with notebooks. Medlin, Bonilla and Perez have also taken aim at the Roosevelt Hotel’s poor security system, where the club is located – which left them in a “dangerous and hazardous” situation.
The suit states “Kid Rock and members of the Boo-Yaa Tribe assaulted and battered all three plaintiffs” and they were “left on the ground seriously injured as Kid Rock and his entourage drove off”.
