Josh Duhamel is thrilled to become a first-time dad! He gave his pregnant wife, Fergie, a shout out on Mother’s Day. The 40-year-old actor posted a photo of himself holding her baby bump on Facebook.

“Happy Mother’s-to-be day!” he wrote.

In the picture, which appears to have been taken at Fergie’s sister Dana’s Apr. 27 wedding, the couple has big smiles on their faces as they proudly shows off Fergie’s growing belly.

Duhamel also tweeted, “Let’s remember why we’re all here. Tell mom you love her.” The Black Eyed Peas songstress, 38, did just that and tweeted, “Happy Mother’s Day to my wonderful mommy Terri and all the strong mamas out there.” She also added a beautiful old photo of her mom.

Fergie recently told E! News that her husband of four years has been “amazing” throughout her pregnancy. “He so nice and wonderful. He sings and talks to my belly all the time. He’s very complimentary,” she said. “I’m very lucky that he’s really good to me.”

“He’s going to be an amazing father,” Fergie added. “He’s got natural parenting instincts. And he wanted to knock me up on our first date.”

Newly Preggers Fergie and husband Josh Duhamel have a LOT of advice for y’all!

The singer, 37 and husband, 40,  just announced their pregnancy and now they have a whole lot that their expecting, talking about, giving advice about, etc. So you tell me: is a little Duhamel/Fergie introspection cute or just downright obnoxious?

On the timing: “Now I get to relive my youth through my child and see my child live all that. So everybody’s got a different path,” Duhamel explains. “I wouldn’t change anything. We’re completely happy. We’re much wiser than we were 10 years ago. We’re much more ready. I think we’re so strong as a couple and all of those things are really important when you bring a little one into the world.”

On baby knowledge: “I’ve just picked a lot up along the way. Whether it’s giving them structure at an early age to — when they wake up in the middle of the night, you don’t cuddle them or get their attention. You just feed them and put them right back.”

On knowing more than Fergie: “You know, I was telling my wife yesterday. She didn’t know that you can bathe kids in a sink when they’re newborn. That’s where you bathe them, in a sink, because they’re so little. She’s like, ‘Really?!’” he jokes.

On…more baby things: “I’m realizing how much work we’re going to have to do to childproof our place. Or move. We’re not sure yet,” he notes. “You start thinking about those things. You really do, and things that I’ve never thought about before.”

Fergie’s husband, Josh Duhamel, sat down with the New York Post and revealed what went down the day they found out they are expecting their first child. “She was the one when we first found out that was like, ‘This [bleep] just got real. Those were the first words out of her mouth,’” the Safe Haven actor told the paper.

Married to Duhamel since 2009, Fergie (real name: Stacy Ferguson) made the happy announcement via Twitter on Feb. 18. (“They just found out and tweeted it to the world,” a source told Us at the time.)

Potty-mouthed celebrations aside, Duhamel says he’s overjoyed to become a first-time father — especially at the age of 40. “I’m not 24, I’ve got some life experience that I think I can impart,” he told Page Six. “My mother was the disciplinarian and my father was more of a free spirit. Hopefully I’m somewhere in between.”

Still in the relatively early stages of her pregnancy — with a barely visible baby bump — the “Big Girls Don’t Cry” singer is currently soaking up Paris Fashion Week, and was spotted in the front row at the Gareth Pugh fashion show on Wednesday, Feb. 27.

How many of you have seen ‘Safe Haven?’ I almost saw it at a screening, but bailed at the last minute – and from what I’ve heard I’m glad I did. Dodged a bullet! The ending of the movie may go down in history as one of the most asinine endings of all time. I know the ending, but I won’t spoil it for those of you who might want to see it. Thanks but no thanks.

There are plenty of people who will like the movie, I know a couple who did…. but I can’t deal with that kind of stupidity. I read on several Nicholas Sparks boards that his fans actually LIKE the twist…. so I’m sure there are plenty of people who dig it.
