Well, she’s not hiding it anymore! Jessica Simpson proudly shows off her huge baby bump as she steps out of her NYC hotel this morning with her mom, Tina.

An obviously pregnant Jessica Simpson and her mom, Tina, spent the afternoon shopping at a high-end fashion store in NYC yesterday. Jessica kept her growing baby bump covered in yet another baggy black top.
Still no takers on the $500,000 baby pic price tag? When will her manager-father just allow her to announce she’s pregnant and move on with it?
For those of you unfamiliar with the celebrity photo-trafficking game, the idea of a star selling out her kid is not a new one. What is eye-opening is Simpson’s reported asking fee.
In recent years, we’ve seen Nicole Richie sell the first photos of baby Harlow for a reported $1 million, and Christina Aguilera raked in a reported $2 million for splashing baby Max on the cover of People. And of course, baby Shiloh Jolie-Pitt earned her parents an estimated $4 million, with the proceeds going to charity. But nowadays, in the current economic climate, most stars know better than to ask for six figures for a photo, unless both parents are ridiculously famous, and both of those parents work constantly, and the baby’s last name rhymes with Folie-Zitt.
In contrast, Simpson “doesn’t have anything super relevant going on right now,” points out 5W publicist Ronn Torossian, who is credited with negotiating photo sales on behalf of La Jolie. “And the father of the baby, Simpson’s fiancé, is a retired former football player; nobody knows who he is.
“It’s a badly kept secret that she’s pregnant, and I would be amazed if she got that much money.”
Do not confuse Simpson’s current B-list status with a dwindling bank account. According to Women’s Wear Daily, Simpson’s name is licensed to 22 different kinds of products — products that earned $750 million in retail sales in 2010.
So, to sum up what we know so far: Simpson is both sort-of famous and obscenely wealthy, and she apparently wants to use her maybe-pregnancy to make a half-million bucks.
There is one other possible explanation for Simpson’s reported asking price: She thinks she’s Beyoncé. Of the current crop of babymaking stars out there, we’re told, Mrs. Jay-Z is the one celebrity who could still command top dollar if she so desired. Or, more like a million top dollars.

She should just come out and announce she’s pregnant so she can wear really cute pregnant clothes! Her trying to hide her baby bump isn’t doing her any favors. Her belly looks lumpy in that first picture!
Even though Jessica has yet to cash in on her $500,000 asking price officially announce her pregnancy, by the looks of these new pictures – there’s no denying it anymore. Jessica Simpson IS indeed pregnant, and by the looks of these new pictures – she’s gotta at least be in her second trimester. Further proof? There are rumors that she’s pregnant with a baby girl.
Sources tell In Touch, “She’s telling people it’s like winning the lottery, twice. Jessica really wanted to find out the baby’s sex, she hates surprises. Jessica and her mom, Tina, are the most excited.”
Why hasn’t anyone ponied up and paid Jessica for the big announcement? She’s no longer an A-List celebrity, according to RadarOnline:
Radar had some kind of “expert” chime in about the alleged baby announcement payout. Public relations “expert” Ronn Torossian tells Radar:
“The issue with Jessica Simpson maybe is that she simply hasn’t been ‘hot’ lately in terms of relevant, big celebrity occurrences,” President and CEO of 5WPR, Ronn Torossian, told RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview.
“No big movie, hit album or A-list happening, and even though she’s an A-list celebrity…in this economy, media needs to know for $500,000 that something is a sure bet — and Simpson simply may not be seen as that today.”
Ronn revealed that it’s not out of the ordinary for a celebrity to sell baby photos and he doesn’t see the market for such slowing down at all.
“Celebrities are smart to try and control images which are released of their children… I don’t think anyone can fault the oft-pictured celebrity from wanting to benefit financially from this continued media frenzy around very personal matters,” Ronn said.
“And I am sure the celebrity baby payout will continue.”

Pretty much everyone at this point is confirming Jessica Simpson is pregnant, except Jessica herself. Why hasn’t she come forward yet? According to several sources, she’s holding out for money. She’s reportedly asking for half a million dollars to reveal her pregnancy.
Sources tell Page Six, Jessica’s manager-father, Joe Simpson is refusing to confirm the pregnancy until they’ve inked a magazine deal.
The the singer/fashion designer and mentor on NBC’s “Fashion Star” had been shopping a deal to the celebrity weeklies to announce the news and sell the eventual baby photos.
We’re told the Simpsons were asking up to $500,000 to close the deal. And Jessica has been hiding an obvious bump in recent photos to keep showbiz’s worst kept secret.
Last night OK! posted the cover story, “Yes, I’m Having A Baby.” Jessica is engaged to former NFL star Eric Johnson, but the wedding date hasn’t been revealed.
“We’re enjoying our commitment to each other,” Simpson said recently. “We want to take our time … We might elope if it gets to that point.”
A rep for Simpson had no comment.
I’m finding this story a bit hard to believe. I think there are several magazines that would pay that kind of money to have this “scoop”. Jessica is constantly on magazine covers, so she must sell copies. I think if she were holding out for $$$ – we’d have confirmation by now. I don’t know. What do you think? Rumors that Jessica Simpson is pregnant have been getting louder and louder as time goes on. Word around town is she’s trying to negotiate a cover deal with People Magazine to “reveal” the news, but that hasn’t come together yet. So she’s walking around town, covering her belly, pretending that she’s not with child until the time comes when she’s paid to reveal the news. OK Magazine is the latest “source” claiming she’s pregnant.
Dressed in a flowing striped maxi dress, a beaming Jessica Simpson smiled as she arrived for a baby shower at the Ivy at the Shore restaurant in Santa Monica.
The performer, along with her mom, Tina; sister, Ashlee; and 2-year-old nephew, Bronx, was at the restaurant on Oct. 15 to celebrate childhood friend Stephanie McGuire Terblanche’s impending motherhood — but that’s not the only baby the Simpson clan is getting ready for!
“Jessica is so excited,” says a close friend, who confesses that Jessica has been slowly telling all her pals that she and fiancé Eric Johnson, 32, are becoming parents.
“She joked, ‘Well, now I can eat anything I want and no one will care. It’s just sort of a rule with pregnant women.’ But it was typical Jessica that she was making a joke of it.”
At 31, Jessica has learned to take life’s little twists and turns in stride. Although she originally told her friends that she didn’t plan to have a baby before she was married to Eric, to whom she became engaged this past November, the order of these happy events hasn’t really mattered to her. Jessica is just delighted finally to become a mother.
“She really did want to get married over the summer and then have a baby on the way by the holidays,” says a second friend. “I remember her saying to us, ‘I’m having a baby before my next birthday’, and it wasn’t even a question. She would always just say it feels right and that she knew he would become the father of her future children.”
I think the strongest proof that she’s pregnant – is the news she put her wedding on hold. I don’t think for a second she’d put it on hold for any other reason. I think she’s going to have this baby first, get back into shape, and then walk down the aisle. Only time will tell, I suppose!
This whole is-she-or-isn’t-she pregnant fiasco has been going on for…well…months. Lately her wardrobe has consisted of only flowing tops and the ‘big purse/bag in front of the belly’ look, which has done nothing but fuel the fire. However, the bride-to-be was recently spotted wearing a maxi dress that showed an obvious baby bump, but you can never know for sure.
Wearing a cropped denim jacket over a black maxi dress, which drew attention to her rounded midsection, the blonde bombshell did little to dispel the pregnancy rumors with her choice of clothing!

A source close to Jessica’s 32-year-old fiancé Eric Johnson revealed: “It’s still early in the pregnancy, and Jessica has decided to wait before sharing her happiness with her fans.
