Howard Stern joins ‘America’s Got Talent’ as a judge!

The King of All Media is coming to a television near you! It has just been announced that Stern will be a judge on the Season 7 of ‘America’s Got Talent’.

Howard Stern’s larger-than-life personality will bring a thrilling new dynamic to America’s Got Talent starting this summer,” NBC’s Paul Telegdy said in a statement. “He’s a proven innovator and his track record in broadcasting is truly remarkable. Howard is very passionate about this show and is fully committed to its future success.”

Stern, whose SiriusXM radio show is based in New York, won’t necessarily be making cross-country trips for his new gig, as AGT is moving production of its live shows to the Big Apple. Stern, who is replacing Piers Morgan, will join judges Sharon Osbourne, Howie Mandel and host Nick Cannon.

America’s Got Talent is currently holding auditions for season 7, with upcoming open calls in Austin, Charlotte and San Francisco.

I listen to Howard every morning, and have for about 10 years. I’m pretty surprised he’s doing this, because all he ever complains about is how he DOESN’T want to work anymore. With all the money he has, he could certainly retire! On the other hand – if there’s one thing he likes to do – it’s judge. I think it’s hilarious they’re moving the whole production to NY for him. They must really want him! PLUS – I’m sure whatever they paid him was insane.

Howard Stern in talks with NBC to take over for Piers Morgan on ‘America’s Got Talent’

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that shock jock Howard Stern is in talks with NBC to take over Piers Morgan’s recently vacated spot on ‘America’s Got Talent’.

Apparently, he’s been offered $15 million to take the seat, and the network has also offered to move the show from it’s current home in Los Angeles to NYC to make it closer for Stern.

Stern would be hosting alongside Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel. Morgan decided to leave the show so he could focus on his CNN program, “Piers Morgan Tonight”.

I think Howard Stern would be genius, but I have my doubts that he would actually do it. I’ve been an every-day-listener of Howard Stern for probably 10 years. I don’t know if I see him adding something like this to his plate. As it is, his Sirius show is down from 5 days a week to only 3, and all he does is complain about working. So I find it hard to believe he’d take on something like this. But money talks, so who knows.

Robin Quivers Talks Leaving Howard Stern

Thinking of Howard Stern without his sidekick Robin Quivers is almost unimaginable, but that’s what fans of the shock jock’s radio show might be in for soon, as 58-year-old Robin discusses possibly leaving her 30 year gig.

Robin recently spoke with RadarOnline about departing, saying:

“I love to do radio and television and I’ve always wanted my own television show, so I’ve been putting out feelers for those kinds of things.”

“(I could) express myself in ways that I don’t necessarily get to express myself on our show.[...]It will be like a talk show, but with subjects that I’d be interested in.  I think I have some interesting things to say and I don’t think anybody out there is saying them.”

She even discussed David Arquette and Courteney Cox displaying their break-up on Howard’s show:

“They have an incredible relationship. There is obviously an incredible amount of love and respect between them, and maybe this is growing pains.”

Would you watch a talk show hosted by Robin?

Howard Stern covers Rolling Stone!

In the new issue of Rolling Stone, writer Neil Strauss spoke to Howard Stern for over three hours at SiriusXM headquarters in New York. During the wide-ranging interview they discussed Stern’s traumatic divorce from his ex-wife, the wild period in his personal life that followed before he met his second wife, former sidekick Artie Lange’s suicide attempt, his many years in therapy and his plans for the next five years of his radio show.

On his recent contract renewal:

When it came down to sort of figuring out what I was really after, I was pretty sure I was going to leave the radio. I thought I’d kind of done what I needed to do. I still enjoyed it, but I also found that I wanted time to do some other things.”

On Artie Lange:

“He said to me recently that he would be willing to come on the air and explain what happened and stuff. I don’t even feel strong enough within myself or that I’d be doing the right thing by him, because I don’t want to do the wrong thing for Artie. I just want Artie to stay alive.”

On Charlie Sheen:

“I sort of admire Charlie Sheen’s ability to say f*ck you to the world. It’s a fascinating car wreck because, you know, how many people are in Hollywood dying for a hit television show? I don’t know whether to give him a medal or to throw him in a loony bin.”

On single life after divorcing Alison:

“After my divorce, I realized, ‘Oh, wow, I can go have sex.’ And I was running around, picking up women. Then all of a sudden, it dawned on me that I really didn’t need that much sex. I just wanted somebody with me every minute. I was using women as a surrogate mother.”

I love me some Howard Stern. I listen to his show every single morning – all the way through. Have done that for the last – oh – 10 years? He can be crude, he can be crass, but he’s always entertaining. I get a lot of information from his interviews, because he asks the questions that no one else dares to ask. He really IS the King of All Media – and when he leaves Sirius, so will I!

Howard Stern: Give Charlie His Own Radio Show

During an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, radio shock-jock Howard Stern revealed that even in the midst of the Charlie Sheen drama, he believes that the actor deserves his own radio show.

“We want to put a microphone in your house. Anytime you feel like going on the radio during our radio show, we’ll break into our programming and you can have control of the airwaves carte blanche. Go on the air and have “Charlie Radio” 24 hours a day because there’s nothing better than that.”

Wow. I can see Charlie jumping at the opportunity. Be careful what you wish for Howard!

David Arquette tells Howard Stern that he and Courteney Cox “haven’t had sex in 4 months”

David Arquette just called in to the Howard Stern Show — explaining EVERYTHING about why he and Courteney Cox agreed to take a “trial separation” … noting that they haven’t had sex in 4 months.

Arquette explained that he and Courteney stopped having sex around one month before they started shooting “Scream 4″ in Michigan … and drifted from there.

He also claims Courteney was the one who insisted they try separating right after their 11th wedding anniversary back in June … after she told David that she was “tired of being your mother.”

David claims he still loves Courteney — and calls her one of the most amazing people on the planet.

David is also adamant that he never cheated on Courteney before the split — but admits he has had sex with rebound chick Jasmine Waltz … his “one conquest.”

Arquette also said he is hopeful he and Courteney can patch things up and get back together.
