Hilary Duff, who knows better than most what it’s like to be in the public eye at a young age, is not passing judgment on Miley Cyrus for the risque´ photos for Vanity Fair
“Everyone goes through things and takes their own path,” Duff said Monday a press event for her new movie War Inc. “Who am I to judge decisions that she made?”
Still, Duff says she would not have chosen the same path for herself. “People are pushing you to do something, and if you want to do it, that’s your choice, you know?” added the singer-actress. “It’s not what I would choose to do, but if she did then that’s fine. That’s her choice.”
Asked how she has avoided the pitfalls of being a young star, Duff, 20, said she’s relied on a strong network. “I’ve had a lot of help from people,” she says. “It’s a joint effort with my family and everyone helping me balance my life.”
Cyrus, 15, has since expressed regret for the photo, which gives the appearance that she’s nude – although she is not. The Hannah Montana star told People, “I feel so embarrassed.”

Recent rumors were floating around the internet that Hilary Duff was going to take part in the remake of Beverly Hills, 90210.
But…she says different:
When about the possible gig Monday at a junket for her action film War, Inc., the former Disney queen, 20, said: “No, it’s not true.”
Maybe someone was just trying to get a little publicity??

Hilary Duff is hoping her role in new movie War, Inc. will kill her good-girl image once and for all.
The 20-year-old has wrestled with the label since rising to fame as a clean-cut teen pop star.
She recently revealed her desire to be recognised as an adult - and went to great lengths in the movie to do so.
Duff travelled unaccompanied to Bulgaria to film the movie with co-stars John Cusack, Ben Kingsley and Marisa Tomei, dying her trademark blonde locks for a darker hairdo to play onscreen temptress Yonica.
She says, “I got to play a character far away from who I am in my real life. I got to be a little bit of a bad girl for a change.”
War, Inc. premieres on Monday at New York’s Tribeca Film Festival.

Singer/actress Hilary Duff is reportedly in talks to join the cast of a new Beverly Hills, 90210 spin-off series.
A contemporary series of the hit 1990s TV show has been commissioned by U.S. network CW. The original show, which ran for 10 years from 1990 to 2000, starred Jason Priestley, Shannen Doherty and Tori Spelling.
Producers are now said to be courting 20-year-old Duff to take on one of the leading roles in the updated version, according to Eonline.com.
Duff shot to fame in hit Disney TV show Lizzie Maguire before launching a successful music and film career.

Hilary Duff hates her mantle as a well-behaved pop star - because she’s not out to “prove herself”.
The 20-year-old was criticised by Avril Lavigne for being a “goody-goody”, but Duff laments ‘good’ and ‘bad’ labels only apply to young stars - not older performers.
She says, “I said something about how she didn’t like her fans dressing like her, and how she should appreciate that because it’s a compliment. She called me a goody-goody.
“Everyone is trying to prove who they are, and their position. So, I’m ‘the good girl.’ She’s ‘the bad girl’ or ‘the party girl.’ Sarah Jessica Parker doesn’t take her clothes off, but she’s not a ‘good girl.’ (Adult actors) don’t get tagged like we do.”
