Gwyneth Paltrow opens up about post-partum depression, and having another baby.

ET sat down with Gwyneth Paltrow over the weekend in New York City during promotion for her new film, Iron Man, in an interview to air on Monday, April 28th.
Paltrow arrived with a fresh haircut, bobbed just below her collar. She explains her new look, “I had very long hair for a long time and I was very attached to it. I kept holding on to it. One day it was, ‘Enough with the hair!’ It was very liberating.” She goes on to say that daughter Apple didn’t like it at all and immediately wanted to cut her hair like Mommy’s.
Like many moms, Paltrow says she suffered from post-partum depression following childbirth, “It was a very difficult time,” she says. “I just did not know what was wrong with me. I felt very detached, I felt like I was a shell of myself. I just felt like I was going through the motions of the things in my life. It was a very weird three to six months. I didn’t know what was wrong with me until I started to come out of it, and my mom said to me, ‘You don’t seem right. What’s going on?’ And I was defensive because I didn’t know what was wrong with me.”
The mom of two, Apple, 3, and Moses, 2, says she didn’t take medication because, “By the time I realized I needed medication I was already coming out of it.” She says, “I really feel for any woman who’s had it or going through it, because it’s not easy.” When asked if she would have more children, Paltrow says maybe one more and adds that she might be open to adoption.
The Oscar winning actress goes on to tell ET that she is not without flaws, “I’m not a good speller. I’m bad at math. I can get impatient, which is a terrible quality. I’m terrible at baking, I ruin anything I try!” Paltrow also reveals that she no longer adheres to a strict macrobiotic diet, “I do eat ice-cream sundaes and I also eat cheese!”
On why she took the role in Iron Man, she says, “It was time to just have some fun! Enough with the crying and the serious and the Shakespeare!”
