George Clooney is back on the dating scene – the actor has been linked to an Italian TV presenter after they were photographed together in Rome.

The sexy star has been single since splitting from longtime girlfriend Sarah Larson last year, but he has reportedly found love again with Elisabetta Canalis, an actress and TV host who presents the Italian version of MTV’s “Total Request Live” music show.

The pair was snapped enjoying a double dinner date in Rome at the city’s Hotel Majestic last week and Clooney and Canalis were photographed cuddling up during a romantic evening out on Sunday.

In the candid shots, published online, Clooney, 48, is seen sharing a chair with 30-year-old Canalis, with his arms wrapped around her waist.

The star owns an Italian villa on the shores of Lake Como and is spending time in the region as he prepares to start filming new movie “A Very Private Gentleman” there next month.

Former ER doc George Clooney has his own method of warding off swine flu – massive amounts of tequila!

George tried to organize a boys-only escape to Cabo San Lucas over the Memorial Day holiday to golf and party. But some of his pals balked at going south of the border with swine flu raging in Mexico.

Undaunted, George was able to convince a couple of his friends to make the trip by telling them that they’d be protected from the epidemic – as long as they drank plenty of tequila!

While the germ-fighting ability of tequila is medically questionable, the star did end up making the trip with his best friend Thom Matthews and Cindy Crawford’s husband Rande Gerber.

The party-hearty trio stayed at a plush $1,000-a-night three- bedroom penthouse at the posh Casa Dorada hotel overlooking Medano Beach, dining each night at the resort’s 12 Tribes restaurant, playing golf every day and bellying up to the outdoor swim-up pool bar – where the tequila flowed like water.

While most of the country was following daily updates of the swine flu outbreak, George seemed unconcerned about his own well-being.

“George lived with his pot-bellied pig Max for 18 years, so he joked that he’s probably immune to swine flu,” added the friend.

George Clooney, Hollywood’s hottest bachelor,  is off the market again and is dating another cocktail waitress.

After splitting up with Sarah Larson whom he met at a Las Vegas Club, the star is now dating Miami based waitress/model Lucy Wolvert.

The pair have reportedly been dating on the sly for weeks, but she’s having a hard time keeping the relationship under wraps.

Says a source: “Her crush may have gotten the best of her. George asked Lucy to be discreet, but she’s told friends and they’ve started talking.”

George Clooney will be back in his ER scrubs for one final episode of the NBC medical drama that will air March 12.

A show insider tells PEOPLE that Clooney will reunite with Julianna Margulies in a storyline that also features Susan Sarandon, making her ER debut as a grandmother grief-stricken over the sudden death of her grandson.

Although execs of Warner Brothers and NBC have been coy about Clooney’s return, ER’s executive producer John Wells did tell PEOPLE on Wednesday that the March 12 episode will be a memorable one.

“If you’re a fan of ER, you won’t want to miss this one,” said Wells, stopping short of naming the main attraction, Clooney as Dr. Doug Ross.

The episode brings Clooney’s character back to his longtime love Margulies’ nurse Carol Hathaway. Will the star-crossed pair finally get their happy ending?

Wells, who wrote the series’ final episodes, would say only, “I want their story to be very fulfilling in the end.”

Clooney, 47, left ER in 1999 for roles on the big screen. Margulies, 42, who exited the series the following year, recently welcomed her first child Kieran, with husband, attorney Keith Lieberthal.

The show began shooting its two-hour final episode this week. Its series finale will air April 2.

George Clooney has made an offer few can refuse: He has placed himself up for adoption.

“I always wanted to be adopted, but I couldn’t find anyone,” said the star, speaking at a Newseum event in Washington, D.C., with his father, former Ohio news anchor Nick Clooney, and veteran journalist Bill Small on either side of him.

“Will you adopt me?” George said to Small. “I’m very wealthy. I’ll take care of you.”

Talk of adoption started after Nick Clooney’s observation that his son’s 2005 film, Good Night, and Good Luck, about iconic CBS newsman Edward R. Murrow, is now being shown in journalism schools across the country.

“This film has legs,” said the elder Clooney, who then asked his son for his opinion.

“I don’t care for that,” said the jocular George – prompting Nick to respond: “I never cared for this kid – his sister’s great.”

George Clooney has agreed to come back to the show that launched his career: ER.

Sources close to the series tell PEOPLE that ER co-creator John Wells has ordered a closed set to keep Clooney’s appearance under wraps.

It’s not known how many episodes will feature Clooney as the show films its final season. Neither NBC nor Warner Bros. reps would comment, nor did Clooney’s publicist.

Clooney, himself, denied reports last March he was returning.

Clooney’s Dr. Doug Ross was last seen on ER in a 2000 cameo walk-through in a remote lake scene with Ross’s ex-Juliana Marguilies.

Clooney is the most famous ER alum and Wells has always wanted him to return for the show’s last season. The 15th season was extended by an extra four episodes by NBC executives last week.
