Kirsten Dunst And Garrett Hedlund Broke Up

The 73rd Golden Globe Awards in LA

Aw, this one hurts.

After more than four years of dating, Kirsten Dunst and Garrett Hedlund have broken up.

This pic is from the 2016 Golden Globes, so you know this news hasn’t been brewing too long (or at least calmed down enough for these two to get on some nice garb and hit the red carpet). It’s a bummer, because they were SO CUTE and were always gushing about each other. For example, last summer the Fargo star said things were going “really well” between her and Garrett:

“We’re the same age. We have similar backgrounds,” she shared with the publication. “He feels like family to me.”

She also admitted that she was thinking of getting pregnant during that time in her relationship:

“I’m in baby mode because two of my really good friends are pregnant right now,” she confessed to Red U.K. “Thirty-three is a good age to have your first baby.”

Dang. Kirsten and the Pan actor first met back in 2011 while co-starring the film adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s On the Road. And hey- four years is a long run. I wonder if she was ready to get serious or have a kid and he wasn’t, or vice versa? Or maybe it was getting stale? UGH I NEED ANSWERS!

Angelina Jolie cast Garret Hedlund for her new movie ‘Unbroken’!

The 66th Annual Cannes Film Festival - 'Inside Llewyn Davis' Photocall

Angelina Jolie finally added a big name to her upcoming movie, ‘Unbroken’! Garrett Hedlund has been cast in a supporting role. Jack O’Connell will star in the film about World War II hero Lou Zamperini.
Shooting is set to begin in October. Angelina and her kids are already in Australia, where filming will take place.

The story begins in 1943, when Zamperini’s Air Force plane crashed in the Pacific. He survived without food and water for 47 days, enduring shark attacks, aerial attacks and hunger before washing ashore on a Japanese island behind enemy lines, where he was held as a prisoner of war for two years and tortured by his captors.

Hedlund’s addition was more than a month in the works, though he had to work out schedule conflicts. The film is set to begin shooting in October.

Ethan and Joel Coen penned a recent draft of the screenplay, which is based on Laura Hillenbrand’s 2010 best-seller. Universal picked up the rights to the book in January 2011, and William Nicholson and Richard LaGravenese worked on previous drafts before Jolie took the film’s reins in December. The movie is scheduled to open in December 2014.

Hedlund recently starred in the Coen brothers’ Inside Llewyn Davis. Universal was interested in him to play the lead in Fifty Shades of Grey, but the actor bowed out before a formal offer was made.

Jolie is producing Unbroken with Matthew Baer and Erwin Stoff.

I had NO IDEA the Coen Brothers adapted the script, and I just got a WHOLE LOT more excited! I can’t wait!!

Garrett Hedlund turns down the lead in ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’

Garrett Hedlund apparently doesn’t want to tackle the role of Christian Grey. According to US Weekly, the ‘On the Road’ actor, 28, passed on playing the S&M loving lead in the upcoming film version of the book ‘Fifty Shades of Grey.’

Apparently Kirsten Dunst’s boyfriend passed on the role because the thought of committing to a trilogy was too much, and producers wouldn’t let him do just one movie.

Rumors have swirled from the beginning that Ian Somerhalder was also being considered, but according to sources, that’s not the case. A source tells Us, “E.L. was at a Comic-Con party July 20 telling people the part won’t go to Ian.”

The only known casting decision for the Fifty Shades of Grey movie, so far, has been the director. James revealed on Twitter in June that Sam Taylor-Johnson has been hired to direct the film. “I saw both of her films, and I was blown away. Simple,” the author recently told Vulture of the Nowhere Boy director. “She’s creative, incredibly talented, she’s got an extraordinary eye. She had a good idea about the whole Fifty experience, she understands it. And I thought, There’s a woman I can go and get drunk with.”

I sure hope this movie doesn’t turn into a big ol’ hot mess. I’m glad the role isn’t going to Ian, either….

Kristen Stewart finally opens up about her affair with Rupert Sanders

It’s been five months since Kristen Stewart was caught cheating on her boyfriend Robert Pattinson with her ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ director Rupert Sanders. The ‘On the Road’ actress is finally opening up about the ordeal, and revealing how she spent days in hiding after confessing what she’d done.

“You have to be OK with your own fears,” the “Twilight” star tells UK’s The Sun. “If you’re an honest person you’ll make mistakes, but that’s when the most interesting things happen.”

The 22-year-old actress admits she struggled with the media spotlight, but found a way to move on from her now infamous affair.

“I used to just stay in my hotel room rather than deal with everything,” she reveals, “but if you get too caught up in what others think you become a really disjointed person.”

Stewart recently chatted with The Huffington Post about her decision to finally step back into the spotlight following the difficult time. She confessed that there was never a choice as to whether or not she’d attend the screening of “On The Road” at theToronto Film Festival in September — she was going despite what people would say.

“You should never step outside of your life and look at it like it’s this malleable thing you can shape so that people view it a certain way,” Stewart told HuffPost. “I would never not have gone to something like that. I’ve been working on this for five years. I love this movie. I’m so proud of everyone involved — I feel so strong standing next to them.”

“I was asked a few times whether I was going to do it or, ‘Oh, was it difficult for you? What made you stand up and do this?’ It was like, why wouldn’t I? It made so much sense to me,” she added. “With the fans and stuff, it’s just human energy that you simply cannot deny. People are standing there and sort of screaming for you and I’m not about to turn my back and walk away and go get warm inside, you know what I mean?”

As we all know now, Stewart and Pattinson, 26, worked out their issues and are back together. They promoted the final film in the “Twilight” franchise, “Breaking Dawn – Part 2” in November.

So while she kind of alluded to talking about the cheating scandal, she still pretty much avoided the topic. She spoke in generalities, mostly. Here she is at the New York premiere of her new movie, ‘On the Road’. Man, will this movie EVER come out? I swear it’s been done for years. It’s not typically a good sign when a movie sits on the shelf for this long. Hopefully it’s not indicative of how the movie will turn out.

Also pictures are the movie’s other stars, Kirsten Dunst and her boyfriend and co-star, Garrett Hedlund.
