Gale Harold is on the road to a full recovery.
Less than two weeks after the Desperate Housewives star suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle accident, he’s out of intensive care and improving daily, says his rep.
“A full recovery is expected,” said a statement from Nancy Seltzer & Associates. “He thanks everyone for their good wishes.”
Gale had swelling on the brain and a fractured shoulder after the accident. He had been under observation in the intensive care unit at L.A. County USC Medical Center Medical Center.
The actor plays the boyfriend of Teri Hatcher’s character on the ABC show. Last week, Housewives executive producer Marc Cherry said his writers are reworking Gale’s scenes while he recovers.

Desperate Housewives newcomer Gale Harold is in critical condition and awaiting further tests after being hospitalized with injuries incurred in a Tuesday motorcycle accident, a spokeswoman for USC Medical Center tells the AP.
“We can confirm that Gale Harold was in a motorcycle accident,” the Queer as Folk alum’s publicist tells TVGuide.com. “He has fractured his shoulder and is under observation to assess any possible further injuries. Everyone is hopeful for a full recovery.”
Though original reports and statements suggested that Harold’s primary injury was done to a shoulder, sources tell TVGuide.com that the actor also suffered a head injury. Housewives creator Marc Cherry told the AP that Harold apparently has swelling on the brain, but is expected to recover.
Harold was due on the ABC series’ set before getting into the accident. No one else was injured in the crash.
