Diane Kruger and Ewan McGregor at the Cannes Film Festival

The Cannes Film Festival opens today, and here are some of the first pictures that are trickling in! We have Diane Kruger and Ewan McGregor, who are judges on the festival jury.

Diane is wearing a dress by Versus (the same one Jessica Alba is wearing on the Marie Clare cover), and shoes by Jimmy Choo. I love them both – and I think she looks amazing.

Ewan McGregor always looks amazing.

Emily Blunt and Ewan McGregor at the premiere of their new movie ‘Salmon Fishing in the Yemen’

Emily Blunt and Ewan McGregor appeared this afternoon at the London premiere of their new movie, ‘Salmon Fishing in the Yemen’.

Emily wore a strange dress from Carolina Herrera’s Fall 2012 collection, a dress with a jacket (worn backwards?).

What do you think of her dress and jacket combo?

Emily Blunt looks stunning in a Naeem Khan gown at the ‘Salmon Fishing in Yemen’ premiere

I’ve received a couple of invites to see this movie, but for whatever reason I haven’t made it. I think it looks pretty good – but also has the potential to be very boring. (Watch the trailer below)

I love Emily (and Ewan McGregor for that matter!) and most of the movies she’s in. I love this dress she’s wearing, I think it looks beautiful on her.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley stuns in beaded Pucci gown!

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is quickly becoming one of my favorite best-dressed celebrities! Nine times out of ten I think she looks absolutely stunning. Last night’s Hollywood Film Awards brought out a lot of beautiful celebs. Alongside Rosie were actresses Amber Heard, Julianne Hough, Bryce Dallas Howard and Elle Fanning!

Actors Ewan McGregor and Joseph Gordon-Levitt were also on hand!

Ewan McGregor and his wife Eve adopt their 4th child!

Ewan McGregor has just announced in an email that he and his wife have adopted their fourth child, a four-month old girl.  The girl – who has not been named – is now Ewan’s FOURTH daughter!

Ewan McGregor has let slip that he and wife Eve Mavrakis have adopted a baby girl. The 40-year-old actor revealed the news while promoting his movie Beginners in Los Angeles earlier this month. The little girl, who will be the fourth child for Ewan and Eve, was born in March and is just four months old.

However, Ewan has not revealed any other details about the baby, such as her name and nationality. The baby is the second adopted child for Ewan and his wife, who adopted daughter Jamiyan from Mongolia five years ago. The couple are also parents to daughters Clara, 15, and nine-year-old Esther.

Ewan made the revelation when he spoke to the New York Post about his new movie. Discussing how his family always comes first, Ewan said: ‘My wife and four girls – 15, two nine-year-olds and a baby of four months – often come with me if it’s a holiday or my locations and their schedules allow. Sometimes we uproot them and put them in another school.’

Ewan is notoriously private about his family life, but said in a recent interview that he will always try and spend as much time as possible with his children.

He said: ‘I recognize it can be boring to play with young children – to tell a story over and over again, let’s say – but the secret is being there. If you’ve made a decision to play with your children, then play with them. Don’t be looking through papers on your desk or sneaking off to the computer. Turn off your BlackBerry. Lose yourself in their world. Even if you do it for a short time, it will mean a lot to you and to them.’

Ewan McGregor cheating on his wife of 15 years?

He’s never been short of female fans, but Ewan McGregor appears to have found a close friend in his latest co-star.

McGregor, who has been married for 15 years, and French actress Mélanie Laurent turned heads as they strolled through a freezing Paris arm in arm last night.

The pair recently finished shooting upcoming movie Beginners together, and it appears their friendship is still going strong.

They had enjoyed a night out dining with friends at the French capital’s luxury Hyatt hotel, before leaving to brave the cold winter night together.

McGregor married production designer Eve Mavrakis, who is also French, in 1995. The couple live in north London with their three daughters.

Laurent, 26, is best known for her critically acclaimed performance in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds, released last year.

Beginners finished shooting in December and is currently in post-production.

In the new film, McGregor plays a man rocked by two shock announcements from his elderly father, played by Christopher Plummer, who reveals that he has terminal cancer and is gay.

McGregor rose to international fame in 1996 playing the role of Renton in the cult British film Trainspotting.

Ewan McGregor hates Trainspotting Sequel

trainspotting.jpg

Ewan McGregor is refusing to star in a sequel to the movie that made him famous, because he hates the book it’s based on.

Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle is reteaming with author Irvine Welsh to take Porno to the big screen – 13 years after Trainspotting made them all household names.

But McGregor, who played the lead character Renton in Trainspotting, is snubbing the follow-up, claiming Welsh’s second book isn’t good enough.

He tells Moviefone, “I didn’t think the book was very good. The novel of Trainspotting was quite fantastic, it was beautiful, quite moving and disturbing writing, and then I find that the sequel… the book that Irvine Welsh wrote didn’t move me as much… He’d written a good sequel to the film as opposed to a sequel to his book.

“Also, I think just the idea of getting the cast together again 10 to 15 years later isn’t good enough, you need more than that. I wouldn’t want to damage Trainspotting’s reputation, because it was an amazing film and a very important film of its time, a very important film for me and… a very important film for British cinema. I wouldn’t want to leave people remembering a poor sequel rather than leaving its reputation where it sits at the moment, which is kind of a phenomenal film.”
