I saw Remember Me over the weekend, and I thought it was… eh. Memberable alright, but probably not the way it’s intended. It wasn’t great – by any stretch – but it wasn’t unwatchable either. I couldn’t, in clear conscience, recommend you spend your hard earned money to see it in a theater.
I didn’t like Emilie de Ravin in that movie, I thought she was slightly annoying. The whole time she tried to cover her Australian accent, and failed miserably. Plus – she was playing a 19 year old girl, and at 29 years old – she didn’t pull it off. I didn’t feel any real chemistry between her and Robert Pattinson (but after Twilight, I may think that of anyone he costars with).
I thought Robert Pattinson did well…considering what he had to work with. There was a ton of brooding ala Edward Cullen, and I felt even the music at times played at the Twilight sound. I can see that there’s promise there – I just hope his next couple movies are chosen wisely, or he’s going to end up a one trick pony.
The ending of the movie is so stupid, it pretty much ruined the movie for me. I think had it ended differently, I would have thought better of it. The ending was just so contrived…they were trying toooooo hard. I think the point the film was trying to make would have been much more successful without the “oh c’mon, seriously!?” ending.
But anyway, that’s just my two cents. I know people who loved the movie.

Emilie de Ravin, who plays Claire Littleton on ABC’s “Lost,” has separated from her husband after six months of marriage, her spokesman said Wednesday.
The 25-year-old Australian actress and actor Josh Janowicz, also 25, were married in Melbourne in June, publicist Jeff Raymond said. It was the first marriage for both. They have no children.
Besides “Lost,” de Ravin’s credits include the horror film “The Hills Have Eyes” and TV’s “Roswell.” Janowicz appeared on TV’s “Cold Case” and was the “hot priest” in the 2003 movie “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle.”

Emilie de Ravin, 24, who plays Claire Littleton on the ABC hit series Lost, wed actor Josh Janowicz on June 19, wearing a wedding gown by designer Monique Lhuillier. For her walk down the aisle, de Ravin wore a two-piece ivory Chantilly lace scoop neck top with cap sleeves, paired with a satin paneled trumpet skirt and accented with a cameo ribbon sash.
The couple dated for three years before becoming engaged on January 1, 2005, while visiting de Ravin’s family in Australia for the holidays.
