Tommy Chong had a no pot smoking clause in his ‘DWTS’ contract

Tommy Chong had a no pot smoking clause in his 'DWTS' contract

Tommy Chong has been a long time advocate of marijuana use and given that he took part in “Dancing With The Stars” in 2014, he had to give it up for a short while. He finished in ninth place on the show, but he has recently revealed that the network made it so he was contractually obligated not to smoke pot during his time on the show.

During a chat on Reddit one fan asked, “Do you ever take tolerance breaks (from marijuana)? If so how long?”

Chong replied, “It was part of my contract while I was on Dancing With The Stars, actually. But no, not really.”

He has also been undergoing treatment for cancer, but says that he uses cannibis in order to cope with the symptoms. He said, “I’ve had some medical issues lately… I got diagnosed with rectal cancer… I’m using cannabis like crazy now, more so than ever before. I’m in treatment now. I’ve been – just the case either way, either I get healed or I don’t. But either way, I’m going to make sure I get a little edge off or put up.”

And there you have it!

Tom Bergeron's father Raymond has passed away at 81

Sad, sad news for long-time “Dancing With The Stars” host Tom Bergeron. Tom took time away from the dancing competition last week in order to spend some final hours with his father Raymond. Now, we’ve learned that his beloved father has passed away at the age of 81-years-old.

On Monday night’s show, Bergeron dedicated the show to his late father. He told the audience, “My dad loved this show. Never missed an episode, and I’d like to think somewhere that he didn’t miss this one.”

Last Friday, Bergeron tweeted, “Back with my @DancingABC family on Monday. Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers you’ve sent to my Dad this past week. So appreciated.”

On Saturday, he shared, “My Dad, looking back on his life, had one word for all of his worries; “insubstantial.” Nicely said.”

Our sincerest condolences go out to Tom Bergeron and his family during this tough time. It’s so great that he was able to be there for his father in his final moments.

Kim Zolciak booted from ‘Dancing With The Stars’

Kim Zolciak booted from 'Dancing With The Stars'

Kim Zolciak was booted from the latest episode of “Dancing With The Stars” after suffering from a mini-stroke.

She was unable to perform on Monday because of a recent hospitalization and wasn’t cleared to fly back to Los Angeles by her doctor. She explained the situation via Skype, but said that if she’d lived closer (she lives in Atlanta, Georgia), she would’ve driven to the studio.

Tom Bergeron said that according to the rules of the show, because she couldn’t dance due to a medical issue, she had to be eliminated from the competition. The show’s Twitter account shared, “The rules of the competition dictate that @Kimzolciak must withdraw, but her health is the most important thing. #DWTS”

A source close to the situation said, “She is bummed” and that she was “really sad” to get the boot from the show.

She revealed in a video, “I practiced for hours Saturday I was so excited to be there tonight! I just needed a few more days and then I’m cleared to fly!”

Are you sad to see her go?
