Drew Barrymore stepped out with her new boyfriend Will Copelman yesterday after having lunch in Beverly Hills. The actress, who turned 36 this week, has only been dating Will for a couple weeks.

Will is the son of former head of the American arm of Chanel, Arie Kopelman and a source described him to America’s Us Weekly as a ‘socialite type and a playboy.’

A friend said of the blossoming romance: ‘It’s a very new relationship and they’re taking things slowly … They’ve been getting to know each other a lot better these last few weeks.

On Monday, Drew Barrymore stepped out for lunch at Joan’s on Third in L.A. with her new guy.

A source tells US Weekly, her new man is “a socialite type and a playboy.”

Drew Barrymore is on the cover of October’s Harper’s Bazaar, and she looks absolutely amazing! She just returned from a two-week vacation in India (by herself!) toned, tanned, and happy as ever! She talks with HB about her body, being 35, and find out exactly what she has to say about boyfriend Justin Long.

On Drew’s new toned, tanned body:

“I feel like some of my baby fat is going away,” she observes, “and that’s not just physically, it’s psychologically. I think that your body is in tune with your mind and your spirituality and your heart. If things are going better, I just think you look better.”

Drew’s “two or three hours of exercise” a week is paying off. “But,” she cautions, “there is some lighting where I absolutely resemble Shamu. People have to know that you pick the best pictures where the lighting is beautiful and the angles are right and the body positions are gorgeous. And then, guess what, you turn, sit, hit the wrong light, and your belly flaps over and we all look human again.”

“I can apply myself at my job 20 hours a day, seven days a week. But I can’t apply myself to my body more than a couple hours a week. I have no passion for fanaticism. The psychology when you just forgive yourself and enjoy what nature gave you is so liberating.”

On spending more time being alone, and loving it:

“I’m really good on my own,” she says. “I was good in my early teens, and then I got really bad at being alone for like 10 years. And then for the last decade I’ve developed such a love of my independence that I have to go, Okay, you’ve had dinner by yourself three nights in a row, now you have to see your friends.” Howard Hughes rising? “Oh, yes. I’ll be peeing in jars momentarily.”

In another life, she could have been a motivational speaker:

“Oh, I would love to be a motivational speaker,” she says. “I have pulled myself out of a million potholes, and I can see the potholes ahead of me. That doesn’t mean that I could always do that so perfectly for my own life. I totally fall in potholes. Sometimes I fall so goddamn deep, I’ve got broken legs and I have to mend myself in the well and crawl back out.” That would be especially tough if it was a hole full of pot. She chuckles and says, “Well, I like those holes.”

On being 35 years old:

“For me, it’s very magical,” she says. “It’s funny, because whenever they parody me on Saturday Night Live, they always say the word magical. But 35 is an incredible year for me. It’s just a very auspicious time.”

On boyfriend Justin Long:

“He’s the cat’s pajamas,” she replies. “I couldn’t love, respect, admire, and enjoy that individual more than I do. It would be physically impossible for me to have any more giggly joy at this person.”

Drew Barrymore insists that despite her organizational skills behind a camera, her real life is a total disaster.

In a new interview, Drew says that she is disciplined as a director, but her real life is chaos. She said, “My real life is a disaster. You should see my hotel room right now. It looks like Sid Vicious is living there. It’s absolutely nuts. I need to call somebody to help because it’s started to look weird. I’m just a mess. My desk is a mess, I’m never organized, I lose everything.”

She says that she’s still in search of a new movie to direct, though. She added, “As a director, I’m really trying hard to find something I fall in love with again because it’s a really long, intense job that you work on every day for the next three years.”
