Dennis Quaid, his wife Kimberly, and a couple of their friends begin to drive away after finishing a late night dinner and drinks at “Philippe by Philippe Chow.” As Dennis is about to pull away, local police officers stop him and strongly suggest that he step out of the car and call a taxi. Dennis complied with their request and can be seen finally leaving in a taxi.

Dennis Quaid and his wife have agreed to a $750,000 settlement with a Los Angeles hospital that gave their newborn twins an overdose of blood thinner last year, The Associated Press reports.
A petition filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday shows that Cedars-Sinai is not admitting wrongdoing as part of the settlement.
The agreement must still be approved by a Los Angeles judge.
Two weeks after twins Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace were born (via a surrogate) in November 2007, they were accidentally given a massive overdose of the blood thinner Heparin and nearly died.
Cedars-Sinai — which was fined $25,000 by the California Department of Public Health — has since apologized.
“It was the scariest, most frightening day that I think either of us have ever been through, to come face to face with your little kids who – so young in that kind of situation,” Quaid said on 60 Minutes.
The babies are fine now, he told Usmagazine.com earlier this year.
“They just discovered each other,” he told Us in February. “That happens with twins – they actually don’t even acknowledge each other’s presence until right around this time. One of them looked at the other one last week and did a double-take; it was really startling like, ‘Who are you?’”
The Quaids also sued drug maker Baxter Healthcare Corp. in Illinois over the drug’s packaging, but that case has been dismissed.

Dennis Quaid finds it “unbelievable” that ex-wife Meg Ryan recently spoke out about their divorce to In Style, saying that he was not faithful to her “for a very long time.”
“It was eight years ago,” he tells Rush & Molloy of the New York Daily News. “I find it unbelievable that Meg continues publicly to rehash and rewrite the story of our relationship.”
He adds that he find it “regrettable that our son, Jack, has to be reminded in a public way of the turmoil and pain that every child feels in a divorce.”
The actor, who has since remarried — and welcomed twins with his new wife last November — says “I, myself, moved on years ago and am fortunate to have a happy, beautiful family.”

PS: Notice how he “fires back” but he doesn’t actually deny cheating on Meg? No wonder he’s so pissed! He was an adulterer, and probably doesn’t like being called out! Too bad Dennis!

Meg Ryan felt guilty over her divorce from Dennis Quaid – even though she was only partly to blame.
Ryan reveals it wasn’t until after the dissolution of her ten-year marriage in 2001 that she learned details of Quaid’s alleged infidelity, adding that she blamed herself for the pair’s split long after their separation.
She tells InStyle: “When the woman cheats, it’s the woman’s fault. When the man cheats, it’s the woman’s fault.”
The When Harry Met Sally star insists she felt like “a scarlet woman having a reckless affair that destroyed my marriage” after being attacked by the media for straying from actor Quaid.
Although she remains quiet on many of the details, Ryan did admit on Good Morning America: “The truth is I had a very complicated marriage… the last few years I’ve confused a lot of people really. I’m not interested in opening up my marriage, I just feel like every now and then you have to fill in the gaps for people… We’re not friends really, but we’re friendly.”
Ryan and Quaid have a 16-year-old son, Jack Henry.
