The first crush of many boys of my generation is officially off the market. Danica McKellar, who played Winnie Cooper on the iconic series The Wonder Years is engaged to her boyfriend Scott Sveslosky. Lots of baby and couple news today! McKellar, who was most recently on Dancing With the Stars, and is also a mathematician and author of four books, announced the news:
“So…can you guess what my big announcement is?” she captioned a photo of herself smiling and pointing to a large diamond ring on her left hand. “Yes, my amazing boyfriend Scott and I are engaged!”
“This is the guy that Valentin Chmerkovskiy did a shout-out to on Dancing With the Stars!” she added, referring to the season 18 episode when Chmerkovskiy thanked McKellar’s “amazing boyfriend Scott” for being so cool about letting him dance with the actress.
McKellar has been married once before, to composer Mike Verta, with whom she shares her son, Draco.
Congrats to the happy couple! And as an aside- she has aged REALLY well.
