Music producer The Dream, aka Terius Nash, says he tried to commit suicide as the marriage between him and singer Christina Milian began to fail.

“I’ve cried about this for months, after interviews, after prayer and I’ve tried to take my own life at a point because of the failure that was looming,” Nash writes. “This is not to justify anything, it’s true emotion! It’s a real thing that involves real people!”

While he declines to go into specifics about their marital problems, he says, “It’s easy to say that it’s because of another woman or a new relationship but truthfully, IT’S NOT.”

“I take FULL RESPONSIBILITY for misleading everyone into thinking everything was fine and okay when we knew problems existed for awhile,” Nash writes. “I would NEVER intentionally hurt a soul and everyone around me knows that! There was so much going on in me and Christina’s personal world that I tried to deal with it as delicately as I could and tried to regain my footing.”

He continues: “I am Human and people fall in and out of Love all the time… This is Life. Nothing’s promised or perfect, neither am I. I am not proud that I lost something we once had…LOVE!”

“I’m sorry for the embarrassment to everyone involved! If there’s anyone to blame and you can’t fathom this happening, please blame me and me alone for not being upfront! Even though we were trying to overcome personal things between us, I was just simply scared and embarrassed to let everyone know we WERE FAILING and HAVE NOW FAILED!”

While Christina has yet to comment on her ex’s blog post, she did take to her Twitter on July 12th to say this, “Whatever you think, believe it.” The two have one daughter together named Violet.

After photos of Christina Milian’s husband, The Dream, surfaced frolicking on the beach with another woman, she is still apparently wearing the wedding ring.

After the pics came forward, her rep said that they split late last year, “but decided to keep the news private in efforts to protect their baby daughter Violet.”

She needs to just let him go already. He’s a dog!!

Christina Milian and The-Dream have decided to separate, his rep confirms to UsMagazine.com.

“Terius ‘The-Dream’ Nash is saddened to announce that his marriage to Christina Milian was unsuccessful. The couple reached this decision in late 2009, but decided to keep the news private in efforts to protect their baby daughter Violet. They ask for consideration and respect for their family moving forward,” his rep tells Us.

The split confirmation comes as racy photos surface of The-Dream and his assistant of about a year, Melissa Santiago, frolicking in the Caribbean.

The producer and singer (who released his third album, Love King, on June 29), 32, proposed to Milian, 28, in July 2009 with a six-carat diamond ring from Ivanka Trump’s jewelry line. The couple eloped last September in Las Vegas, and said “I Do” a second time in Rome in December. They welcomed daughter Violet five months ago.

In April, Milian told Us Weekly that her baby girl has “a lot of personality! She laughs a lot!” She had already lost 27 of the 45 pounds she gained while expecting by “eating salads like crazy,” she said.

The-Dream has three children from a previous marriage to singer Nivea.

It’s a girl for Christina Milian and husband The-Dream.

The singer-actress delivered daughter Violet on Feb. 26, her rep confirms to PEOPLE, saying the girl has “a full head of hair.”

This is the first child for Milian, 28, and the fourth for singer-songwriter and record producer, 31, who has three children with his ex-wife, singer Nivea.

The couple – who wed in September – announced the pregnancy in October.

Christina Milian, who for months has been keeping her engagement to Grammy-nominated producer The-Dream under wraps, is officially “engaged,” a pal confirms after the R&B singer hosted a Hollywood Hills birthday bash for music producer Billy Clark Saturday at the Venom Energy and Trainwreck Clothing event.

Milian sported her huge engagement ring while friends stopped by to say hello upon their arrival.

Milian and The-Dream (real name: Terius Hagert Youngdell Nash), both 27, were attached at the hip and even wore matching outfits – she, a short-sleeved red dress; he, in jeans, a wife beater and an open red button-down shirt.

Later on, the pair took a load off their feet and appeared very affectionate, with Christina resting her head on his shoulder.

Reps for Milian were unavailable for comment.
