Law & Order star Chris Noth has denied there are any plans to bring the hit crime show to the big screen - insisting the show doesn’t need any more incarnations.
The actor was a member of Law + Order’s original cast between 1990 and 1995 and returned to the franchise in 2005, reprising his character for spin off show Criminal Intent.
The show, which has become the longest running primetime drama in America, now has two successful sub-series - Criminal Intent and Special Victims Unit, with plans for a British branch of the franchise - Law & Order: London - well underway.
And Noth insists that with so many different variations of the show currently showing on TV, there is no need to make a movie as well.
He says, “The problem with Law and Order is that it’s on three times a day, six days a week. There are three different shows. I can barely watch it and I’m on it.”

Chris Noth has delivered another blow to the city where the TV show and new movie is set, insisting New York isn’t as great as it used to be.
His comments come just weeks after Sex and The City producers snubbed the Big Apple for the world premiere of the film, and held it in London instead.
Speaking to publisher Ron Galotti - the inspiration for his Mr. Big character - Noth, who first arrived in New York in the 1970s, tells Interview magazine says, “New York is pretty much commercialized to the point of no return”
Adding he misses the “diverse eccentrics” and “different neighborhoods” that were once such a big part of the city used to fill the city: “That’s all been washed out. It’s very suburban. The art scene really left, except in patches. It’s all about sort of a corporate sensibility, and it’s squeezed out room for any other kind of sensibility.”
And Noth is planning to deal another blow to New York by moving his Cutting Room night club out of the Big Apple and into Las Vegas.
He explains, “I want to take the club to Vegas. I think a Cutting Room would be great in Vegas. I just haven’t really had the time to go out there and schmooze people and try to get them to invest millions of dollars.”

Chris Noth has slammed the marketing experts at lingerie firm Victoria’s Secret, claiming the company’s models look “gaudy”.
The actor, who plays romantic Mr. Big in the upcoming Sex & The City movie after playing the role on TV, reveals he isn’t a fan of the popular lingerie giant, insisting Victoria’s Secret models look like they’re trying too hard.
He tells WENN, “I’m not into Victoria’s Secret so much. I find it over the top. I like subtlety and I like elegance. I think their things are gaudy and they are really trying too hard. If I could make a fashion statement, I think that Victoria’s Secret looks to me like somebody who is putting on too much make-up. It’s too gaudy, man. I mean, come on take it easy, you don’t have to have a f***in’ bouquet of flowers on your underwear. Sorry Victoria’s Secret; I hope they’re not one of our sponsors!”
