Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum Can’t Get Enough of Each Other…

22 Jump Street Premieres in LA

Who’s a fan of the 22 Jump Street duo, Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum?  I regret to admit that I have not yet caught the film, though I’ve heard it’s quite funny and I enjoyed the first film, 21 Jump Street, royally.  Those of you who enjoy their camaraderie may be excited to know that Hill is in talks to co-star with Tatum in the Coen Brothers’ upcoming film, Hail, Caesar!

Hail, Caesar! will be set in 1950’s Hollywood and will center around a ‘fixer’ whose job it is to keep the studio’s stars in line.

According to Entertainment Weekly, George Clooney and Josh Brolin are signed up to star in the film, Channing Tatum, Tilda Swinton and Ralph Fiennes are in negotiations, and Scarlett Johansson is in ‘talks’ to join the cast – as is Hill.

It sounds like a perfectly lovely cast and I can’t wait to see a preview for it.  On a completely unrelated note- I’m curious to see a recent preggers picture of Miss Johansson!

Channing Tatum & wife Jenna Dewan going through $50 million divorce?

Channing Tatum & wife Jenna Dewan going through $50 million divorce?

“Star” magazine is really going out on a limb with their latest cover story, which claims that Channing Tatum and his wife Jenna Dewan are calling it quits.

Rumors have been swirling across the internet suggesting that Channing and Jenna were experiencing problems in their marriage. Someone at “Star” must’ve heard the rumors and thought it was a good idea to take them a step further with this nonsense.

And of course, nonsense is exactly what it is. As much of our female readers would love the thought of Channing being single once again and ready to mingle, the rumors have turned out to be false. A rep for the actor told “Gossip Cop” that the rumors aren’t true and there is no turmoil within his marriage to Jenna.

Besides that, they make an awesomely photogenic couple, don’t they?

‘Foxcatcher’ Premieres in Cannes

67th Annual Cannes Film Festival - "Foxcatcher" Premiere

Jessica Chastain really showed her game face for the ‘Foxcatcher’ premiere in Cannes yesterday.  I’m not usually a fan of that particular color, but with her hair and that cape/wrap thing?  I’m into it.  Mainly because it was windy and the dress flew all over the place, without exposing anything unladylike – that I saw anyway.  Always a plus.  I love it.

The early reviews are in, and if the Cannes viewers have anything to say about, it looks like Steve Carell may be in the contention for an Oscar for his performance in this wrestling drama.

Indiewire says:

“Carell is the revelation that everyone has suggested in the role, and then some: vocally, physically and psychologically he is not just unrecognizable, he simply is a different man, and a man whose tragic flaw (cursed to wield great wealth and influence with no shred of greatness to justify it) is the entire story of this film. It’s seldom we’ve ever witnessed such a total erasure of self in a role, and it deserves to win him everything, everywhere.”

The Hollywood Reporter weighs in:

“From the beginning, you can’t take your eyes off Carell; as if by some secret alchemy, the actor makes you believe that his character is an entirely uncharismatic man while delivering a completely charismatic performance.”

I believe it.  I think Carell is incredibly talented and the dark comedy and serious roles he has played in the past have been awesome.  I hated his character in ‘The Way Way Back’ but he played him perfectly.  Loved that movie BTW.  ‘Foxcatcher’ also features Channing Tatum and Mark Ruffalo – who are receiving rave reviews of their own.  I guess I’ll put this one on my ‘must see’ list…

Channing Tatum is a functioning alcoholic

Channing Tatum is a functioning alcoholic

Channing Tatum appears on the cover of the new issue of “GQ” and inside he reveals that he likes a few too many beers.

He told the magazine, “I probably drink too much, you know. My wife, that’s what she bought into. I’m probably a pretty high-functioning, I guess, you know, I would say, alcoholic, I guess. There’s probably a tendency to escape. I equate it to creativity, and I definitely equate it to having a good time.”

He also has a profound love for cake, as well. He said, “I just love cake. Confetti cake, to be specific. It has little colored candies inside the cake, and then you get the confetti icing, which is really hard to find sometimes. It’s really hard to explain to people, because it’s not icing with sprinkles on top. It’s icing that actually has candies inside of it. It’s Funfetti icing. It’s a beautiful mix. It is an angel sent from heaven.”

Us Weekly has more on a funny story about Channing and Jonah Hill:

Up next, Tatum is set to promote 22 Jump Street (out on June 13) with Hill. However, he still has some unfinished business with his costar. While filming the first film, Hill, 30, told Tatum that he would kiss Tatum’s “tip” if Tatum was in fact correct that their film would break $35 million in its opening weekend. (Refresher: It did!)

“‘I will kiss the tip of your d–k through your underwear if we make $35 million,'” Tatum recalled Hill saying. “I haven’t made him do it yet. For obvious reasons. That’s a bad bet to lose—it’s not too good to win, either. But definitely the shame of it would be enjoyable. It’s my trump card, for sure,” he joked. “He tries not to bring it up at all costs. Unless he did something horrible to me, I don’t know if I could ever cash it in. It would change our relationship forever.”

Too funny. But he’s right — that would definitely change their relationship forever.
