Channing Tatum Shares How He Gets Romantic for Jenna Dewan

Channing Tatum has quickly become a Hollywood hunk, and with his latest flick The Vow with Rachel McAdams, his sex appeal is about to hit the stratosphere.

Not so quick, ladies. Channing has been happily married for almost three years to wife Jenna Dewan, and the actor shared with PEOPLE how he keeps the romance going from year to year.

“I see caring for somebody as a creative outlet.”

“I like drawing little faces and writing little stories and hiding them in places.”

“I’m a practical joker. My favorite one is putting one under the toilet seat,” he said with a laugh. “She always wakes up before I do, so I enjoy the surprise of ‘Haha! I got you!’ ”

“I don’t think it’s that hard to be thoughtful,” said Tatum, “especially when you do care about the person.”

And crowd let out a resounding, ‘Awwwwwww….”

PICS: Channing Tatum spotted leaving his hotel in London!

Channing Tatum is one busy man these days. He’s got a handful of movies in the works, with many more on the way. He stars in ‘Haywire’ which opens up this Friday.

Tatum mixes it up with mixed martial arts champ and acting newcomer Gina Carano.

He’s fought plenty on screen and she’s fought plenty in the ring. But this marks her first screen kiss.

“I think we’ve all kissed. I think everybody’s had somebody in their life by now. She’s not a wallflower. She didn’t grow up in a convent and I didn’t either,” Tatum said.”I definitely know that she was like, ‘What are we supposed to do? Like, how does this work?’ I’m like, ‘I don’t know. Let’s just do it.’ It was fun.”

Tatum is about to spend a lot of time at the box office. After “Haywire,” he stars in the romantic drama, “The Vow,” opposite Rachel McAdams. It opens on Valentine’s Day.

I love him! Can’t wait to see ‘Haywire’, PLUS Fassy’s in it….so I’m sold!

Sexy Channing Tatum covers the new issue of Details Magazine

Actor Channing Tatum covers the latest issue of DETAILS. The Alabama-bred actor’s new films show he’s down for almost anything: comedy (21 Jump Street), action (Haywire), romance (The Vow). He’s also into downing shots of bourbon before popping off a few rounds at a firing range, helping out a stranded stranger, and teaching his dog the life-and fly routine from Dirty Dancing. DETAILS interviewed the one Hollywood actor who is actually having the time of his life for the cover story of the magazine’s February issue, which features photos by Norman Jean Roy. The issue hits stands nationwide on January 17.

On shooting guns with his dad as a child…

“When I was a kid, we lived on the bayou in Mississippi. My dad would throw a beer can into the water and have me shoot at it. Once, when I was really little, we had this huge double-barrel shot-gun, and when I tried it, it literally blew me off the dock.”

On his past projects and learning process…

“You gotta do the Dear Johns. You gotta do The Vow… I’m conscious about why I did those parts, those movies,” Tatum says after jokingly apologizing for my having had to watch them. He says he took the roles for the sake of his education, which is, of course, an industry trope. But it’s one he delivers with such sincerity that it’s impossible not to absolutely take him at his word. “I wanted to learn from Rachel on The Vow,” he says. “I wanted to learn from Lasse Hallström on Dear John—he did The Cider House Rules and What’s Eating Gilbert Grape. I didn’t go to acting school, so my knowledge of story, filmmaking, and character comes from just being on set and doing it… I know I’m not the best actor,” he says. “But I hope my characters are getting better.”

On his film aspirations…

“I really don’t want to be in anymore movies that I don’t produce. Unless it’s with one of the 10 directors that I really want to work with, I don’t have any interest in not being on the ground floor of creating it. But what I really want to do is direct.”

On his late nights, often until 4 A.M., brainstorming at the office…

“Jenna’s not always happy when I come home that late, but I’ve just got to get it out.”

I like him. I saw ‘Dear John’ and I totally broke down into sobbing fits in the theater. (If you didn’t cry when he was reading his dad the letter in the hospital, then your heart is made of coal!) I’m happy for his success, he seems like a really good guy.

Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Matthew McConaughey and Olivia Munn on set!

The movie is based on a true story – and will star Channing Tatum as the male stripper. Tatum, who has admitted to stripping before becoming an actor is the perfect choice for the role!

“This was a wild and pivotal time in my life and I couldn’t be more thrilled to go down the rabbit hole with Steven (Soderbergh),” Tatum said in a statement. Soderbergh was similarly excited.

“When Channing talked to me about this, I thought it was one of the best ideas I’d ever heard for a movie,” the Oscar-winning director said. “I said I wanted in immediately. It’s sexy, funny and shocking. We’re using Saturday Night Fever as our model, so hopefully we’re on the right track.”

The film costars Alex Pettyfer, Matthew McConaughey and Olivia Munn.

Channing Tatum and Olivia Munn on the set of the stripper film based on his life.

Pictures are finally rolling in on Steven Soderbergh’s new film, ‘Magic Mike’. The movie is a film about a stripper (Channing Tatum) who takes a fellow exotic dancer (Alex Pettyfer) under his wing. Both dancers work at club Xquisite, which is run by Dallas, a retired dancer played by Matthew McConaughey.

The film is loosely based on Channing’s own experiences. He was an exotic dancer before breaking into acting.

Channing was spotted today in between filming scenes with co-stars Olivia Munn and Wendi McLendon-Covey in Los Angeles. ‘Magic Mike’ also stars True Blood hunk Joe Manganiello, White Collar hottie Matt Bomer, and British actor Alex Pettyfer.

Wonder if any “stripper” photos will surface from the set?

Joe Manganiello joins male stripper movie based on Tatum Channing’s life!

Joe Manganiello, Alex Pettyfer, Matt Bomer, Matthew McConaughey and Channing Tatum are all set to star in the movie ‘Magic Mike’. The movie is based on the real-life experiences of Channing Tatum as a young exotic dancer.

You know you want to see it.

Manganiello, a favorite werewolf on “True Blood,” comes as the latest and apparently largest addition, according to EW. He’s reportedly been cast as Big Dick Richie, a dancer of enormous talent, alongside Pettyfer’s booty-shaking newbie, Tatum’s seasoned pro, supporting dancer Bomer and club owner McConaughey.

Stephen Soderbergh is directing the flick, set to open in September 2012. And one of the largest questions looming about the project — after why can’t it just open today — is, how much of the man-goodies will be on display?

Turns out, full-frontal might not be off the table. Soderbergh “isn’t afraid of going there,” a well-placed source tells the Awful Truth.

Um…. yes please?
